Chapter 59
(Jenn's POV)
The movie night started out great. I sat between Louis and Harry and we watched Titanic. Of course that's what Harry picked.
Right now, it was Louis' turn to pick a movie. He scrolled through the movie choices on TV and stopped on one that was too familiar.
"Really Louis? Camp Rock?" Harry says in annoyance.
"It's a classic. Would you rather watch Grease for the trillionth time? No. I don't think so," he sasses back.
Harry puts his hands up in defense and starts laughing. It was around 9 at night and I was starting to worry where Luke is. Liam and Niall said that they ended up going to the Cubs game.
The movies starts and we all sit back down. Harry wraps his arm around my shoulder and praying it was a friendly gesture, I lean into his chest. Louis starts wincing like a dog and I open my arm out for him to cuddle with us too. He lays on my side and wraps his arm around my waist.
"WHO WILL I BE, IT'S UP TO ME," Louis begins shouting.
"ALL THE NEVER ENDING POSSIBILITIES THAT I CAN BE," I start singing with him.
Harry stares at us and just laughs. Me and Louis are dancing around the living room singing to the songs in Camp Rock.
"F*ck you Tess," Louis screams at the TV when Tess sasses her two friends.
"Louis!" Harry shouts.
"What? She's a b*tch!"
I agree with Louis, I hate Tess. But Joe Jonas is so hot in this movie. This is my favorite movie of him. I always loved him most in the Jonas Brothers. Nick was second and Kevin just creeped me out for some reason. Shane was starting to sing to Mitchie by the lake.
I lay down in front of the TV and scream at the TV, "JOE JONAS DATE ME. YOU'RE HOT. AHHH I LOVE YOU."
"You love who?" I hear someone say behind me.
"Luke! You're home!" I say while running up and kissing him gently.
He places his hands on my waist and gives me a questioning glare.
"What? I may have had a crush on Shane Grey a few years back..." I begin.
"Well, sucks for him because I have you."
I don't think he has ever seen Camp Rock before. He probably thinks Shane is an actual human.
"Louis! Glad to see you," Luke says hugging Louis.
"I'm so sorry for everything, Luke. I'm surprised you didn't lock me out and kept me from staying with you guys for a week."
"I'm sorry too. You're a good friend and I don't want you to leave my life, Louis."
They start walking into the kitchen and I'm left with Harry. It brings a smile to my face, seeing Luke and Louis start talking again.
"Shall we sing the duet together?" Harry asks, standing up and holding his hand out.
"Lets," I reply, grabbing his hand.
"I'VE ALWAYS BEEN THE KINDA OF GIRL, THAT HID MY FACE," I belt out.
A rush of laughter hits me and I fall to the ground and try to catch my breath. I try to finish my solo, but I end up laughing the whole time. Harry stops laughing as much and starts singing Shane's part.
"YOU'RE THE VOICE I HEAR INSIDE MY HEAD THE REASON THAT I'M SINGING. I NEED TO FIND YOU. I GOTTA FIND YOU."
Me and Harry were jamming out while Louis started butting in. Luke had this look on his face, something was bothering him.
I let Louis take my place in the song and walk over go Luke. He was staring at Louis and Harry singing before I knocked him out of thought.
"Do you wanna go out for lunch tomorrow?" I ask.
"I uh can't. Another meeting. Maybe next weekend?"
"Next weekend? We're spending the last days with the boys going camping. Don't you remember?"
"Oh! Oh yeah! I'm sorry. I'm excited for it. I should go to sleep, I have to be there by 10."
"Alright. Goodnight."
He kisses my forehead and walks upstairs. I stand there for a few minutes. Thinking about all of this. Luke hasn't been himself. I miss the Luke that always wanted to cuddle. We haven't been out in what feels like months. We hardly see each other anymore even though we live together. These few years have been the best years of my life. Though my parents passed away, I've been doing fine. I haven't visited the cemetery in months. I need go soon.
"Jenn! The final song is on! Lets go!" Harry shouts.
I put on a smile and start dancing with them. Surprisingly, they know the dance moves to the chorus and so do I. We were laughing the whole time while we tried to dance as best as we can.
"Hey guys!" Niall says.
Liam and Niall just opened the door wearing all Cubs merchandise. We probably should've turned the game on to see if we could see them.
"So how was it?" Louis asks.
"It was amaz- Louis?! You're back!" Liam says, jumping into his arms.
"Sorry to be such a buzz kill, but I'm going to go to bed. Goodnight everyone," I say.
Louis has a frown on his face, but soon goes back to the conversation he was having with Liam and Niall.
"I think I'll go to bed too," Harry says.
I start walking up the stairs, when Harry stops me.
"Do you wanna go out for lunch tomorrow?"
"uh- Harry I want to, but the paps."
"Jenn. They know you're dating Luke. I overheard you and Luke. You seemed disappointed so I dropped my plans with Calum. We can spend the whole day together."
"Thanks Harry. See you tomorrow."
He runs up the stairs and into his room before I can even make it to the top of the stairs. I walk into my room and see Luke on his phone.
"Thought you were sleeping," I say, while changing into my pajamas and washing my face.
"I couldn't sleep."
"Oh. Is something bothering you?"
"No. Not really. I just feel bad."
"About what?" I ask.
"I've been so busy lately and haven't been able to do anything with you."
"It's okay. Tomorrow I'm hanging with Harry. We're going out for lunch."
"Alright. I have a surprise for you. I just have to wait for the right time to tell you," he says.
"Ooo give me a hint."
"We're going to Barcelona for a week in a month."
"Luke. That wasn't a hint. That was an answer. But seriously? I can't accept that. It's so expensive!"
"Jenn, you said you wanted to go someplace warm. Well, Chicago is getting colder by the minute. Also, we may be going to Costa Rica..."
"Why?"
"Remember when you found out about your parents so you went to Australia and the guys were suppose to pick you up?"
"Yea..."
"I had plane tickets to Costa Rica to surprise you with.. I guess with all the drama I kinda forgot about it."
"I love you Luke."
"I love you too Jenn."
