YOKO

Her head already rests to the side when, from the shotgun seat, Big suddenly pats her arm, pulling her out of the dreamland.

"Sis, look!"

"What?" She rubs her eyes and looks out the window. Her irritation was now replaced by amusement.

The mountain ranges of Kao Dan paint the horizon with its luscious greenery, something she's not used to. And definitely a refreshing sight than the concrete jungles of Bangkok.

They are travelling for quite a while now. And Yoko is not used to long travels. Unfortunately, Chaowanat Horse Farm is almost three hours' travel via land.

"Do you want to take some rest before we continue to the farm, ma'am?" Martin asks.

"No, we are good."

Big looks at her, disappointed, somehow.

"The mountains or your girlfriend?" she asks.

Big huffs and continue to settle in staring outside.

Faye, on the other hand, is snoring softly beside her, unbothered by their bickering.

She looks at the woman who's slouching forward.

Faye must be exhausted. She came back to their house early that morning that she wonders if her bodyguard slept at all.

"Sis. What if Kate doesn't want to talk to me?" Big asks, pulling her from observing the lovely woman sleeping next to her.

"Well, then. I prepared a Plan B."

Big looks at her from the front seat. "What's our Plan B?"

"Well, I carried a rope and a duct tape, you know?"

"Yo, we're not kidnapping my girlfriend."

"It's not kidnapping. We're not moving her out of her own home. You know? Just — to keep her blabbering mouth shut and listen to what you've got to say, okay?"

"No. No Plan B, then."

"Alright. Then, you better prepare a well-thought speech, bro."

Still on the dirt road, they passed the sign of Chaowanat Horse Farm. It doesn't take long before Martin parks the car in front of an old-looking house.

"Do you want me to wait, miss?" Martin asks as he helps Big and Faye pick up their things from the back of the car.

"No need for that. I'll call you once we're done."

Kate didn't greet them. She's not even on the reception when they arrive.

Being the daughter of the farm's owner, she figured Kate had already heard of their arrival. She only hopes she'll show herself because there's no way they can find her in these vast lands.

"Now, we're going to Tiffany," Big suddenly said.

"Who's Tiffany?" Yoko asks before punching Big's shoulder. "Don't tell me you're two-timing Kate —."

"Relax," Big said with a chuckle, adjusting both of their bags on his shoulder. "That's the name of the accommodation we're staying at. The receptionist said earlier, remember?"

Behind Yoko, Faye snorts. And she's too ashamed to face her bodyguard.

As though not embarrassing her enough, Big added. "Oh, right? You have a habit of forgetting woman's name."

Yoko elbows Big's side, who grunts in pain.

There are only two rooms at Tiffany, and two people per room. Big settled Yoko's bag in-front of one while opening the other.
