FAYE
When she wrote the resignation letter last night, it was in the hopes of resigning appropriately, so she could date the young woman properly. And when she thought of how the night might end, it's certainly not with Yoko's lips on hers.
Is she complaining, though? With how her hands fit perfectly on Yoko's waist? Of how her boss's grip loosens, only to slide on her shoulders and pull her closer.
But then, Yoko pauses; her eyes not leaving hers as the young woman's hand reaches to the side and grabs a goblet.
Yoko drinks ever so slightly and licks her own lips.
Faye's throat became parched. She wants to drink too; to die down the dryness and emptiness caused by the absence of Yoko's lips on hers. But all she can do is stay there; dazed.
Yoko looks at her unwaveringly as her expert hands start unbuttoning her blouse. The chilly hands grace her skin ever so lightly; sending her head into a frenzy. The young woman stops halfway and pulls down the left side of her blouse. Her boss looks to her right side before placing the goblet in place and taking a pinch of salt. Instead of putting it on her lips to complement the drink, she sprinkles it on Faye's now exposed shoulder.
Her eyes follow the movement as her heart pounds with anticipation of what the young woman is about to do next.
Yoko's eyes flutter closed as her lips caress her shoulder, tasting the salt there.
It took all her might not to moan, that Faye ends biting her lips.
Yoko didn't stop there, though. Her lips, her tongue, taste the skin of her throat up to her neck that Faye holds on to her boss's hair; not to push her away but to pull her closer.
The young woman obliged; navigating her skin with such vigor that makes her breathless.
So breathless that Faye pulled her into a deep kiss.
When the young woman slipped her tongue, it took all of her sanity not to rip Yoko's clothes right there and then.
Faye pushes her lightly. "Couch," she whispers.
Yoko, with her eyes half-closed, hums in agreement.
The bodyguard stands, lifts the young woman by the waist.
With a groan, Faye tries to stir, but she can't. She opens her heavy-lidded eyes only to see raven locks splaying on her chin. The body on top of her restrains Faye.
As though waken by her surprise, Yoko moves and nestles her face in the crook of her neck. Instinctively, she holds her closer, rubbing her back.
The young woman smells like a wildflower soaked in dew; it reminds her of home. It took all her might not to hold her closer and fall back to sleep.
Instead, Faye peeks at her wristwatch, half obscured by Yoko's arm on her side. Six forty; she should be preparing for work by now.
It's not like her boss would mind, since her boss is literally on top of her.
"Boss?" Faye clears her throat. "Err — Yoko?"
The young woman stirs but only moves her face to the other side of her neck. Her breath fanning the lobe of her ear.
Faye wakes her gently.
She sleeps like a baby.
Yoko rubs her eyes, looks around with a creased forehead before her dazed eyes look back at her. Then she smiles. "Hey," her boss whispers before pecking a featherlight kiss on her lips. "Good morning."
Somehow, the little gesture surprises Faye.
"Are you alright?" The young woman asked, regarding her tensed face.
"Err—."
The young woman regards their position and realizes she's on top. "Oh! Am I heavy?" When she tries to move away, Faye stops her by the waist and shakes her head.
"Ah, good. 'Cause I don't want to eat less to lose weight, you know?"
"Uh huh," Faye said, gently touching the tip of her nose. "Don't change yourself just to please anyone."
"Glad we agree on that one."
Noises from the storefront make both of them jerk to a sitting position. Even though they don't want to, they leave the cozy corner of the couch.
Faye walks up to where the noises are coming from and sees Mr. Bunmi and Tiny entering the restaurant.
"Hey!" Faye greeted.
"Morning," Mr. Bunmi said with a smile, making his eyes disappear. "How's your date?"
Faye couldn't help but look to her side, where Yoko still hid from them. "Great!"
"Oh! Your boss is still here?" Tiny asks before regarding her. It's not that she's looking indecent, but her former coach's eyes linger on her neck; his eyes turn large as saucers. He hides his face behind his large hands. "Should we just go back?"
Tiny's hand tries to reach out, looking for Mr. Bunmi's arm.
The old man swatted it without looking.
Thankfully, Yoko shows up right there and then, clearing her throat. "Good morning, Mr. Bunmi, Tiny."
The old man nods and smiles while Tiny peeks at Yoko through the gap of his hand. Realizing that the young woman is decent, Tiny straightened and greeted Yoko back.
Faye tries not to scoff at his antics and subtly adjusts her blouse, making sure to cover her neck.
"I'm sorry to disturb you two this early in the morning."
A chuckle escape Yoko's lips.
It's a rare sound, and Faye wants to hear more of it if she can.
Her boss waves a hand. "If anyone's disturbing anything, it was me. I didn't plan to stay until morning, actually," she said before looking at Faye.
"It's alright. You're welcome here anytime." The old man reaches for Yoko's hand to shake it gently. "I didn't get the chance to thank you as well for bringing Ryn to her father last time. It means a lot to the kid."
Faye looks at her boss warily. It's a topic they haven't talked further about. And she still didn't know what to think about it. All she knows now is that Yoko's intention isn't bad at all.
Yoko, ever respectful one rubs Mr. Bunmi's hand with reassurance.
When the two let go of their hands, Faye grabs Yoko's arm. "We're going to the park this weekend. Would you like to join us?"
She doesn't want to trouble the young lady any further. Who knows, being a COO of a large company, she must be busy. But then, just the thought of not being with her is enough to drive her crazy.
The young woman squeezes her hand in return. "I would love that."
Tiny stares at them openly. "Based on how Faye looks at you right now, I think she loves you more," he said out loud.
Faye groans at Tiny's candidness.
She's certain it's not love — well, at least not yet.
But whatever it is she's feeling right now is leaning dangerously close to that.
