Clara

A/N: Am I starting do update at random days now? Probably hehehe

I tried my best to meet Abbie's expectations. I gave her the time and space she requested. But even if it was only 16 hours, I was going crazy. I didn't want to spend time away from her. I wanted her... no I needed her to be next to me. To know that after a long day she would come home to me.

Our eyes met through the crowd of girls and the few boys who were sitting in the audience area while me and their new couch stood on the stage. "And don't forget to be grateful to Clara for finding us a place in such a short notice, for giving us the opportunity to still practice our magic. Clara, would you like to say a few words?" She turned to me, and suddenly there were way too many eyes glued to me.

"I-" I cleared my throat, shaking down the anxious feeling that creeped up on my back suddenly, since I was barely paying attention to a word she spoke. I was watching Abbie, trying to find out what was playing out in her pretty little head. "I would like to thank you for your patience and for your dedication to show up and adapt to the new circumstances. I hope you have a blast dancing here until our usual place is renovated." I smiled around, nodding a little with my hands behind my back.

After I finished, I left, leaving them behind to disappear in the room that was my temporary office. Not much, just four plain walls and a desk with my computers on it. I fell into my chair, thanking my power that I was able to not drag Abbie out of that room with me when I left. I straightened while sitting when I heard a knock coming from the door.

"Come in!" I tried to put on a natural expression, hoping the disappointed look on my face wasn't that obvious when the girl walking in was not Abigail. "Hello!" I frowned at the unfamiliar face.

"Hi!" The blonde girl's smile was way brighter than necessary. "I don't want to bother you." She gathered her hair on one side, sitting down in front of my desk. "I just wanted to tell you how grateful I am for going these lengths for us."

"It's my job." Her eyes on me made me more than a little uncomfortable, her eyes lingering on my body more than my face.

"Still." She shrugged, standing up to come over to my side of the desk, leaning against it with arms crossed in front of her pink training clothes covered chest. "I was thinking maybe you would like to come with us to celebrate?"

"Us?" I frowned.

"Well... me." The smile on her face grew, seemingly happy with her own response.

My lips parted to answer her, but before I could say a word, the door opened without a warning, my redhead rushing in.

"What's going on?" Her eyebrows frowned, her head tilting to the side, looking at the blonde girl. "What are you doing here?"

"Just talking." She answered calmly, turning around to face Abigail. "What are you doing here?" Now, if Abbie would let me to tell everybody about us this question wouldn't have popped up. But since she wanted to keep it a secret, her barging into my office was just as suspicious as this random girl leaning against the desk.

"None of your business." I couldn't hide my surprise from my face at her harsh words.

Before the blonde girl could shoot something back at her, I stood up, interrupting their encounter. "Thank you for the offer, but I will pass. Now, could you give me and Abigail a minute?"

"Of course. But think about it before you decline my offer." She shot a smile at me before walking out. Abbie kept the door open for her with a very fake smile on her face, shutting it harshly when the girl fully exited.
