eighteen hours before

"What's this?" I heard Abbie's voice from my room as I put on some clothes after she literally shattered my world with the head she gave me. I dropped my wet shirt onto the ground, sneaking a peak of the purple bruise on my side in the mirror, before putting on a new one.

"Sd-card." I stated the obvious. "I have to give it to Lillian before the engagement dinner tomorrow. I need her to print out some pictures." It wasn't unusual for me to pass my Sd-cards to Lillian. She always did a good job printing them out, focusing in on things I asked her to do and she did not ask questions.

I kneeled on the bed next to her, looking over her naked body, covered in marks I left on her. My mouth was still filled with her taste from the hours I spent between her thighs.

Just when I decided to reach between her thighs, hoping to find her wet and ready for me, her stomach growled, taking my attention.

"Let's get some food into your body, love." I reached out for my hand, pulling her up against my body.

"I need my clothes." She looked around, searching for her clothes with her eyes while bending down. I wrapped my arms around her waist, keeping her back close to my front.

"You don't." I kissed the side of her face.

"Clara-"

"Believe me. It's better like this than in those uncomfortable clothes." I fight against my better judgment, not to sink my teeth into her neck. "And like this I have better access if I decide to bend you over the counter so I could fuck you."

"Oh my God, Clara." She gasped looking up at me with disbelief in her eyes.

"Come on." I slapped her butt playfully. "What do you wanna eat?"

"Whatever. I'm not that hungry." She shrugged, lying.Obviously. The growl of her stomach could be heard through the whole house. "What do you want to eat?"

"You." I shot back without thinking. She hummed, pushing her ass into my front. "But that has to wait." I slid my hand down her side, pinching her skin a little, making her jump in my arms."Do you like steak?"

"Uhum." She nodded, sitting down at the kitchen counter while I walked behind it, opening the fridge.

"Excellent." I spotted the meat, taking it out, placing it on the counter.

Clara asked different questions while I cooked for her. Most of them were about my work so here and there I had to lie a little.

"What about your family?" My fork stopped on its way to my mouth.

"What about them?" I cleared my throat, before taking a bite.

"You don't talk about them and I was just thinking-"

"I don't talk about them because there is nothing to talk about." I wiped my lips with the napkin.

"Alright." I felt her studying my face, before shrugging.

"What?" I pushed my dish aside.

"Nothing. You clearly got upset, so I'm not pushing you." She finished her meal.

"I'm not upset." I lied.

"Then tell me about your family." I did not want to. I didn't like walking about my family, there was nothing that the information about them could say anything about me.

"You finished?" I pointed at her empty plate and almost empty wine glass.

Abbie took the glass, downing the remains of the white wine before nodding.
