Clara

I grabbed the bottle of wine I bought for the evening before getting out of my car. The sun was setting, when I arrived in front of Lillian's house. I checked my phone before knocking on the door.

A message popped up just when I opened my phone.

Abigail: Thinking of you

I couldn't stop my grin. I didn't know exactly where we were heading with Abigail. It was new for me. Not just being with a woman. But relationships too. There was no one before I had in my mind that much as I had her. I wanted to see her every minute of every day. I wanted her. Badly.

Me: Obsessed much, love?

I smiled when the three dots appeared on my screen signaling that she was texting me.

Abigail: Indeed I am

Usually this time of the day, she was at her night practice. She practiced a lot. Maybe way too much for her own good. A lot of working without enough calories eaten. We will have to talk about that.

Abigail: Are you busy?

Me: I'm going to have dinner with Lillian and Hayley. Why?

I smiled suspiciously when she started to write and then stopped. And started again.

Abigail: I just thought maybe you would want to hang out.

Should I ditch this dinner and go to her? Would that be the right thing to do?

Abigail: Maybe another time.

Me: When are you done with your practice?

I tried to think about a good solution that would let me see her and keep my promise to Lillian at the same time. As soon as I sent the text, I froze, my heart beating super fast. And the message came quickly.

Abigail: How do you know I'm at practice?

Fuck! Shit!

Me: You probably told me when you were drunk

It was a bullshit excuse but if she bought it... that was on her.

Abigail: Silly drunk me

Me: I don't know. I like drunk you, she seems to be into me.

I smiled at my screen hearing moving behind the closed door, knowing that sooner or later I will have to enter.

Abigail: Sober me is into you too

I couldn't stop my smile that begged to form on my lips. My eyes shot up when the front door opened in front of me.

"Are you gonna stand there for a while or are you gonna finally come in?" Lillian looked at me. Half of her curly hair was up in a bun and she was in casual clothes. For her. She looked gorgeous, nothing casual about her buttoned up shirt and black jeans. I hide my phone in my pocket before lifting up the bottle of red wine I bought.

"I bought wine."

"Thank you. Come in." She motioned with her head into the house. I walked in, dropping my jacket off.

"Clara, hi!" Hayley popped out of the kitchen with a big smile.

"Hi!" my eyes landed on the apron hugging her waist. "Are you cooking?"

Lillian said before that Hayley could not cook for the love of God. I'm not saying it made me scared, but lowered my appetite for the food.

"Sort of. I'm helping out." She took the wine from Lillian. "Lil is teaching me."
