*Steve's POV*

Fury had called a meeting at the new Avengers headquarters. It was infrequent that he called a meeting when there wasn't anything too important going on, but I knew better than to question Fury's authority.

I had driven my motorcycle outside the building and parked it next to Tony's red sports car. He's early. That's different.

I walked inside, saying a polite hello to the agents I passed by on my way to the conference room. I opened the door and saw Tony sitting at a table, Fury standing nearby.

"Glad you could finally make it Rogers." Fury said, walking over to me and shaking my hand. What's with all the formality? This must be important.

"Of course, I headed down here as soon as I got the call. Where are the others?" I asked Fury. Usually when he called a meeting, the whole team was present. It was just Tony and I.

"Romanoff is out on a mission along with Agent May in Sacremento, Barton is having some time with his family, Thor is on Asgard, and Banner is working in the lab and couldn't be bothered to come down." Fury stated, slightly angry at the fact that Bruce wouldn't take off some time experimenting to come to his meeting.

"So, what's this meeting about?" I asked.

"I think it's time for a new recruit. Someone tough. Someone who'd follow orders and give them and be a good additon to the Avengers." Fury replied, now taking a seat across from Tony, who I sat down next to.

Tony then spoke up. "Why the hell do we need another person on the team? We defeated Loki and Ultron and there aren't other threats right now." Language.

Fury frowned at him. "We defeated them but only at the stake of the lives of many civilians, destroying large amounts of property, and losing a member of the team." He was referring to Pietro Maximoff, or Quicksilver, who died shielding Clint and a child from being shot. "We need a new addition to the team and that's final. Decide amongst yourselves, and use the computer to locate them. I need to go see how the mission in Sacremento is coming along." And with that Fury left, leaving Tony and I alone.

"I have an idea." Tony said after a moment of silence. He got up and strode across the room, towards the wall size computer screen and typed something in.

Images and videos of a figure in a hooded black leather jacket, concealing their face and knee high boots appeared on the screen. They were in a darkened city I recognized as Seattle, throwing knives at cyborg type beings.

"The Midnight's Intuition. Her real name is (Y/N) (L/N). She's a lone wolf hero with extreme telekintetic powers she recieved from being experimented on since she was an infant. She's also quite skilled at using weapons." Tony said as (Y/N) lifted her hands and walls of rock formed a wall around a mother and small child, protecting them from a cyborg with large bladed hands.

"She can control anything with her mind, including her own cells and body, giving her the ability to fly and shape shift. No one really knows where she came from or how she became what she is. She's in a secluded place, but you'll find her." Tony finished, before pausing the video.

I looked at him with a confused expression. "You'll find her? Don't you mean we'll find her?"

Tony shook his head before opening the door. "No. You'll find her. I need to take Pepper on a date before she paints one of my suits pink again." I followed him out the door.

"She's in upstate Washington. Promise me though Cap, that you'll find her." Tony said, with complete sincerity and almost nervousness in his eyes.
