Chapter 20: The talk

Silence

Alice stood by the door way not even trying to pretend to breath like she does in public. She refused to continue smelling the filth Bella had subjected herself too. Honestly she did feel bad with what happened between herself and Edward. Both were in the wrong, more so Edward than Bells for leading the poor human on.

"sooo how are things" Like always her voice came out soft and smooth as she stared the girl down, the silence eating at her. 

That seemed to snap Bella out of whatever daze she was in. Blinking rapidly as if her mind was somewhere else "You came back so does that mean his back?" she didn't beat around the bush not understanding in her self solitude Alice had never left Forks. So caught up in her self-loathing she never noticed her brothers absence either

offering her a small smile Alice shook her head "i never left Bells" at her words something close to jealousy and anger seem to service. Now realizing Edward had left her without looking back but Alice had stay for Adam, proving just how much she carded for her brother. Something she wished Edward had done

"Bella , Edward has not been completely honest about you and his situation-"

"I'm his mate, like you and Adam are. " Bella cut in wearing a big smile as if she revealed a big secret. It was clear she misunderstood a lot

Alice quickly shook her head at that " did Edward tell you that" If he did Alice knew a phone call would be in order. Mates were important and lying about one to a human would clearly be deceitful . 

only after Bella shook her head no did Alice calm down a bit "i heard them talking about you and Adam being mates so I'm comparison Edward would be mine"

"no sweetie, Your his blood singer meaning your blood calls to him" Alice could practically see her heart breaking through her eyes with every word she spoke but she needed to hear the truth. Needed to finally move on and live her life like she is suppose to do. Her even knowing about vampires were a risk to there family but actively pending after one that craved your blood was a dangerous game "paired with that fact her couldn't read your mind made him want to get closer to you, now I'm not saying he didn't fall for you but you have to understand. He would have eventually killed you because of your blood"

Bella sat up staring Alice in the eyes "then change me then my blood wont call to him and we can live together" 

"and when he finds his mate" Alice once calming voice had become sharp. Her eyes narrowed  both annoyed and angry at her lack of understanding. Alice would change no human unless it was her beloved Adam for one and two the fact she still wanted Edward after knowing the truth. Even if she did change her, she would eventually be replaced the second his mate showed up.

"its a risk ill have to take" Bella seemed determined, this was the most she had said in days and she was absolutely lose when it came down to it.

"then your an idiot" Her harsh words had shocked Bella. She never thought Alice would be the one to snap at her in any capacity. She was always happy and light on her feet. Running the conversation in her head Bella did feel a bit stupid and the fact she was arguing with someone who could literally see the future was crazy to her but she just couldn't give up hope that Edward would come around. He was Afterall her first boyfriend and love of her life.  Seeing how Alice treated Adam versus how Edward treat her was a big contrast. Even her family accepted him with open arms while she seemed more unwelcomed than anything. Tearing up bella stood up still staring at Alice. "I think its time you leave"

Alice nodded still watching Bella. She knew she had hit a nerve but it had to be done. She had to forget about her idiotic brother. " sorry Bells"  leaving the room she went straight to Adam who was sprawled out on the couch watching t.v. "lets go Adam, Your sister needs time alone"

Glancing up Adam nodded getting up. He asked no questions seeing the sadden look she held. Rather he held her the second they got home. Silently letting her know he was here if she needed to talk. Nothing had to be said between the two, there bond was strong and all they needed right now was each other
