Chapter 32:The moment

"Where are we going?" Alice walked through the woods being led by Adam while blindfolded. He had busted into their shared bedroom late into the night claiming there was something he wanted to show her. It didn't take long to convince her to go with him. For once she didn't know what was happening, having promised Adam a month ago not to attempt to look into his future for the time being. He knew it was a hard ask and would take all of her willpower not to to so considering she can also get them randomly. 

Luckily seeing her shocked faced when he entered their bedroom was enough to convince him she had kept her word. He quickly blind-folded her and walked her out of the house. "its a surprise, live in the moment" smiling he glanced around the clearing. one he finished decorating last night. LED light lit up the clearing being hung onto tree to give off a nice glow. A blanket laid in the center of it all, under the full moon. It was a breath taking sight, one that he hoped she would enjoy as much as he did.

finally taking off her blind-fold he could help but smile when he heard he gasp in delight. just before she turned around he got onto one knee, bringing out a small box holding a ring.  The second she turned around her eyes widen in surprise as she stared down at Adam with love.

" When I first met you, you took my breath away. Brought me into a whole new world I didn't even know was real. Despite our hard ships you always know the right thing to say and do too brighten up a room and I cant think of any other woman to spend my immortality with. Alice Cullen.... will you marry me"

Adam stared up at Alice smiling brightly as she started nodding her head rapidly and sobbing. Throwing her arms around Adam she laughed  as he stood and spun them around. "Of course Adam" 

they laughed, crying into each others arms as they decided to take the next step in their relationship. Immortality was long but they knew as long as they had each other they wouldn't ever have a bad day.

Adam loved Alice with all his heart just as much as Alice loved her. Nothing could wipe the smiles off of their faces at this moment. Laying back onto the blanket Adam raised his hand to the surroundings candles, lighting them with ease.

"Your getting good at that" 

"I have a good teacher, plus I think Carlisle will kill me if I burn the kitchen down again" Adam winced at that memory. It was the day they found out he was gifted with the ability of fire.

"Esme didn't seem to mind"

"She got a new kitchen out of it. I don't think she has left it since it was re-built. Always cooking for the orphanage in town"

both chuckled at the memory and shock the coven had that day. Emmet, Jasper, and Edward of course were excited wanting to test it out more and possibly spar. Of course that was shot down by all females mates who had to drag their counterparts out of the ruined kitchen.

staring up at the starry sky Adam held Alice. "she actually thanked me the other day when everyone was out the house" Smiling Adam shook his head as Alice rolled her eyes. It was no secret that he was Esme favorite yet she also never let it get to his head. being one of the youngest he was babied a lot by her along with Jaspers mate. He enjoyed it but it came with a lot of teasing from the older coven members.

Alice suddenly gasp, quickly sitting up . "I have so much planning to do. Our wedding has to be perfect. I have so many ideas, ill need a dress oh and invitations-"

"We have plenty of time "Adam chuckled instantly pulling her back down onto the blanket, wrapping his arms around her knowing she would get back up if he didn't

"But-"

"enjoy the moment "Adam shook his head, glancing towards Alice amused. "Lets worry about that tomorrow or you know sometime in the future"

sighing Alice snuggled back into her mate. Both just enjoying their time together. For once she didn't worry about the future and Adam he simply enjoyed her presence.  It was time to carve their own future. One they were fully prepared to enter together.
