It was tense inside the Cullen household. After the Voltari had left they had retreated back too their home where everyone sat in silence. Adam was left in Alice room as he undergo the changes the venom was doing. He was quiet and barely moved but every vampire knew he was in pain.
"Will he be ok" Bella looked to Edward for answer completely ignoring the girl by his side. She refused to see reason at this point. Praying to any god out there that they were lying and this girl was not his mate.
"Why do you pretend to care" Jasper stood from his seat, holding hands with his new found mate. He was calm as always but his tone of voice held an edge of anger. "I can feel your emotions so why pretend. You don't care about him, that's fine. He does not need you he has us. "Jasper pulled his mate closer not wanting to fully loos control. He was protective over his family and Adam fell into that category.
"Bella, I think you should go" giving a soft smile Esme walked towards the only human in the room. "Adam wont be able to control himself with you here when he wakes-"
"Then change m-"
It was almost instant, Rosalie lunged barely being held back by Emmett along side him was Alice who Jasper barely caught. Both girls were furious with her. After everything they had been through she was still so selfish in what she wanted. Her brother was unconscious and she still didn't care.
"Edward" Carlisle barely glanced his son way but it was a clear warning. She had to go before she ended up dead. Being changed was out of the question and everyone knew it. Bringing in two new members and one now newborn to be, he had his hands full and could not handle the human.
Turning to his confused mate Edward let her go "Ill be back and explain everything once she's home" turning he let a confused Bella out of the house. The care he once shown her was gone. He didn't even glance her way as he drove her home. Now knowing what it felt like to have a mate he knew he had to break up with her for good. He didn't want to hurt her but there was no way around it. He had to move on and when Adam woke up there was a big chance the coven was going to move. It was too many newborn vampires to train at one time in this small town
"You both feeling better" Jasper eyed both his sister as they both seem to calm down once she left. Neither one of them wanted her around there little brother.
"Um" all eyes went too the two new comers. Both seeming confused and out of place.
"Right introductions are needed "Alice cheerful attitude was back as she skipped over. She brought both girls into a hug hoping to ease the tension. "I'm Alice and my mate is the one changing upstairs. His Adam"
"I'm Carlisle and this is my mate Esme. The leaders of this coven "Carlisle stepped forward holding Esme's hand. Both wearing small smiles to welcome the girls in. "Nice to meet you both "Esme nodded towards the pair glad her sons finally found their match
"I'm Rose" crossing her arms she eyed the pair not sure how to feel about them just yet. She is glad her brothers found their mates she was just weary of the newcomers. Emmet as always stood by his mate wearing a bright smile of his own. "I'm Emmet her mate, ever want to hunt a bear than I'm your guy"
Both girls couldn't help but laugh at him. He was more welcoming than the rest and it eased there nerves some.
Jasper stepped up next smiling at one girl before turning to his mate. "I'm Jasper" offering them both a smile he was glad he could relax some with Bella gone there was no need to have to retrain himself from her blood.
"I'm Bree Tanner" The smaller of the two girls stepped up. "thank you all for sparing us" smiling brightly at the family she walked back over to Jasper's side seeking safety within her mate
This left the last girl, Edwards mate. "I'm Shaya" Bowing her head in greeting she smiled softly when she stood up straight "Thank you all for offer protection to both myself and Bree"
"Neither one of you wanted to fight" Esme smiled walking towards Shaya "Your family now and we will teach about being a vampire the correct way. Ill show you to Edwards room so you can get your thoughts together" Esme gave Jasper a look who simply nodded, knowing he should have the mate conversation with her. They knew whatever information they were told were lies and so they had a lot of explaining to do.
Alice was quick to leave the room first. She sat beside her mate sadly watching him twitch lay there. If she didn't know any better she would say he looked peaceful but she knew how painful it could be. She blamed herself for not protecting him better. Sighing she laid down beside him knowing until he woke up she was not leaving his side
