Chapter 21:an idiot

Its been a couple days since the whole talk and Adam couldn't be more happier. He spent everyday with Alice just enjoying each others company. Occasionally he would check on his sister who by now was hanging out with Jacob. They seemed to be getting along but he couldn't shake the feeling that he was just a rebound. She had bounced back way to quickly from the breakup with Edward. He wanted her happy but not at someone else expense.

"worried" Alice leaned back onto his chest, the pair just leaning on her car watching the student leave out the school. It was another uneventful school day both wanting to just go home and relax but Adam just couldn't help but wait for Bella. She was after all his little sister making some reckless decisions. 

"That obvious?" he questioned wrapping his arms around her both staring at the entrance.

"we are literally at my car and not inside of it yet" Sighing Alice pulled away from her mate, turning around to face him. "Bella is a big girl, no need to worry so much"

She was right of course like always "lets go" not arguing anymore they both got in the car and drove away. At that moment Alice seem to freeze going into one of her visions. panicking Adam took the wheel hoping not to crash. Only one of them would come out with injuries and it wont Alice. 

"we need to turn around" Alice took the wheel from Adam and turned the car around. She was clearly in a hurry even fumbling for her phone to call someone

"Alice?" Adam was rightfully worried already thinking to worst considering they were on the way to their dads house. was his dad hurt? Was it Bella? a million questions were running through his head but none of them go voiced. "Edward, Its Bella, she jumped off a cliff" 

it was as if his whole world frozen at her words. Alice at this point had taken his hand but he couldn't utter a world too busy thinking the worst but was hoping for the best. He should've seen the signs but he honestly thought she was getting better. Was all of that his imagination?

Pulling up to the house the first thing he saw was Jacobs truck and in front of it was Bella herself ,drenched but ok. "are you crazy" He snapped getting out of the car. He stormed right up to her not caring how she cowered back. 

Only when Jacob stepped in front did Alice get involved. "you don't want to try that mutt" It was a clear warning as she bared her fangs at him. 

"Alice, Jacob don't ok, It was my fault I wanted to go cliff diving." Bella got between the two not at all caring that she got in between two predators who could rip her into pieces.

"what were you thinking" Alice turned her rage to Bella as Adam stood behind her. 

"she wont thinking" He was tired of worrying about his sister who didn't care about anyone else but herself. She didn't even think about the consequence's of her action at all. Never about those around her it effected

"would you both back off" Jacob always the defender of Bella lead her inside to talk, leaving both Adam and Alice outside to silently fume. 

"did you not see her make it out alive" Adam looked to Alice calmly, she was still trying to understand her gift which at times could be confusing like it was now.

"one of the mutts probably saved her, I cant see pass them" Alice looked apologetic but Adam didn't blame her at all. Nothing was her fault ,she saw something disturbing and acted on it just like anyone else would. It was Bella who got everyone worried for no reason

At that moment Alice was pulled into another vision. "Edwards going to go to the Voltari to die, " Alice looked horrified, attempting to call him and when that didn't work she stormed inside and dragged Bella out. "Edward thinks your dead so his now trying to kill himself, your going with me to fix this" Alice left no room for arguments leaving a scared Bella, annoyed Jacob and a prod Adam. He knew his pixie had some fire in her he just hoped that fire never got directed to him. 

"Bella if you cared about me you would stay" Adam actually felt sad seeing Jacob begging for her but he knew Bella didn't care about him more than she did Edward. She proved that very thought by opening the passenger car door.

"yeah no that's my seat" Adam didn't care how childish he was being. He always sat up front in his girls car. she was the outside who needed to hop in the back. before she could argue Alice beeped the horn. 

"Adams in the front" Alice had on her sweet smile but her eyes held daggers. It was clear she blamed his sister for some of the mess they were in. She had told this girl everything she needed to know and time after time she always disappointed her with her action.

Without a word Adam got in the front leaving his sister to sit in the back. The car ride was quit as he held Alice hand trying to calm down her nerves. They were on their way to enemy territory and right now they could only hope for the best.
