Chapter 25:Rumors

Going to school was confusing in some way. Bella was glued to Edward basically the entire day, shooting him glares looks that didn't go unnoticed by the Cullen family. She angary with what had happened and it outcasted her quickly. None of the Cullen's spoke with her, even Edward was quiet giving her one worded answers to any questions she asked. At lunch is when the entire school watched this. They were curious when they saw the Cullen's exclude both Bella and Edward from the table. Both sulking at another table full of Bella's friends.

"isn't this too far" Adam glanced at the couple that sat away. Edward glancing over every minute with a frown etched onto his face. He was not enjoying this in the slightest.

"If he doesn't want to ditch her after everything was said and done then yes" Rose as always was glaring only softening when she looked to one of her siblings. "none of this should've happened in the first place"

"I did try talking to her" Alice leaned against Adam ,also watching the couple. "She kicked me out, I pretty much knew she would but I was hoping to reach her anyways. Make her change her mind somehow"

rubbing her back Adam understood her wanting to reach Bella. He wanted to as well but knowing his sister, he knew he couldn't. She always got her way growing up and this was the first time she was ever told no. He blamed his mother for that, always bending things for Bella has made her entitled 

"enough about them, Lets play videogames after school" Emmett smirked pointing at both Jasper and Adam. "winner get to tell the losers what to do for a week no restraints" 

sparing a glance Jaspers way they both nodded. "your on" Jasper and Adam smiled innocent ,both already plotting on how to take Emmet down first. Jasper of course was gonna use his gift. Adam on the other hand glanced towards his mate who in return rolled her eyes. "fine" she mouthed agreeing to help him win.

After lunch everyone parted ways, Adams next class he had alone with Bella and he friend's. In class he could barely pay attention as he saw the glares being shot his way from the group of people he knew was her friends. He knew Bella had told them something to make him look bad. It had happened before when she wont getting enough attention before. Considering he was always surrounded by others it left her jealous. He lies never worked though but this time he knew it did. He was popular but he never interacted outside the Cullen's so anything they heard about him had to come from her and her only.

The second class was over he booked it out of there only to run into Jessica "look who it is, the Swan who made the Cullen's hate our girl Bella" he sneered

"I don't know what lies Bella told who-" Adam glanced around the group, eyes narrowing on Bella who stood with 'tears' in her eyes. She was hugging Angela  both watching this unfold.

"Bella wouldn't lie to us" Mike stood behind him, crossing his arms as if too look bigger than he was. All in all Adam was pissed at what Bella had did. He turned his back on Jessica noting his only real threat was Mike. If they wanted to believe her so bad so be it. He never cared to make friends with them anyways

"jumping to her rescue Mike, wont make her like you anymore than she does" smirking he looked him in his eyes daring him to make a move. "The fact is your gullible and so in love with a girl that will never like you back" When his eyes widen a bit surprise Adam knew he had hit a sore spot.  

"asking Jessica out to the dance just because Bella rejected you is cold. " glancing towards said girl he saw he glare gone, replaced with embarrassment. It was clear that she knew something about it. "being second place must suck"

"Adam that enough" Bella had let go of Angela choosing to glare at him. "Don't treat my friends this way"

"but was it not you and your friends that targeted me in the hall" Adam stared her down silently begging her to try him. He was done being nice, done being second place to a spoiled brat who couldn't handle rejection. He did nothing wrong but live his life , a life she always seemed to mess up

"it most certainly was" Alice in her beauty skipped down the hall followed by the rest of the Cullen family. The hall was full and if they wont watching before they were watching now "Do we have an issue Bella" Alice voice was sharp and demanding as she addressed her. She was clearly pissed at the turn of event, most likely already seeing what was about to happen 

"Bella" Edward stepped forward taking in the situation he had clearly saw play out in Alice mind minute before. Disappointment clear as he studied her and her friend. "let me make something clear, just because we are a thing does not mean my family has to like you. At this point I'm questioning if I should continue trying to make this work. " He was still figuring things out that much was clear but he was also done with the drama. "you target Adam again and there will be no us."

Silence

not one person spoke, too surprised to utter a word. Never did they think that Edward and Bella would be on the rocks. It was clear to everyone now that Bella had did something, something that turned the Cullen family against her. Everyone wanted to know but no one would dare ask someone in that family. 

As for Adam he didn't wait to hear what Bella would say to Edward, still too pissed to care. He pulled Alice out of the school ignoring everyone else. Only when he felt a calming wave of emotions did he finally breath and stop walking. Shooting Jasper a nod he turned back to Alice who watched him quietly but proudly. "you held your own, now lets go home"
