calum didn't show up, the whole day.
it had crossed wolf's mind one time or two or if she was proud to admit it, it had crossed her mind multiple times.she was still thinking about dave and how dean easily got rid of him. he was too young.
she was lying in the bed of her room, not bothering to go to the dining room to eat, not bothering to see zayn.
her door swung opened.
"i thought you ran away." wolf spatted, looking up at calum who was wearing a huge smile on his face.
"why are you," calum slowly said, sitting down at the bed, "worrying too much about me?" he was saying this in a very cocky way.
"well, i'm your trainer and i'm supposed to worry about you." wolf insisted, her face turning red.
"is that so?" the boy replied, raising an eyebrow. "how old are you?"
"i'm sixteen." the girl answered, nodding her head. she was really too matured for her age and that had always been a problem.
"sixteen?!" calum barely shouted, "i thought you were my age, damn, wolf, you need to worry less."
"how old are you, then?" wolf asked with a frowning face, she was fed up of people saying she looked old for her age.
"i'm nineteen, but i'm turning twenty."
"jesus, you're old." wolf laughed, the very first laugh she let calum hear.
"you look so-" calum searched for a word, "nice, when you are smiling."
"nice? holy, calum." wolf tried not to laugh, her hand covered her mouth and laughed.
"wait, if you are sixteen and already a trainer in this stupid place, how old-"
"eleven," wolf interrupted, "i was born into this rich family, firstborn child, actually. then one day, i was outside our house, something stung and i felt emptiness then bang, pure darkness. then there was zayn, we were both confused, we cried together, he was just sixteen then. but he changed, dean changed him..." wolf cited, her voice was still tough even in sensitive and deep conversations.
"then, what happened?" calum asked like a little boy who wanted to know what happened to humpy dumpty.
"then i fell inlove with him, he was caring and everything. but i didn't see his bad side, his addiction to sex, his addiction to cigarettes. if you want me to confirm it, i lost my virginity--, to him, when i was fourteen and he was nineteen. then he would drive me crazy because he loved to hurt me, like physically," she paused, "and then he'd tell me that he didn't mean it and he loved me so much. the cycle went on and on, bla bla bla." wolf finished, about to cry but she managed to stop the tears which was very rare for her to do.
calum's mouth was left opened, "i would've never guessed." he cleared his throat, "you're strong."
"am i?"
"yeah." calum nodded before giving her a smile. "what's your real name?"
wolf began to be quiet for awhile, "i don't know, they made me forget it."
"how could you possibly forget your name?" calum questioned, his eyes were still smiling.
"i don't know. they just did. i think it starts with letter c." wolf stated, getting comfortable talking to calum. "so what is your family like?"
"perfect." that was all he could say, looking back at his memories which he noticed were slowly disappearing and fading. "what's happening? why cant i recall my father's face?" he compulsively asked.
"i tried to ask myself the same question, calum. i never got any." wolf gave him an answer which wolf thought that she shouldn't have just told him about it cause it didn't help him.
"goodnight, calum."
"goodnight, c."
