Another seeming day had passed since her capture, all varying degrees of bad. Fei preferred the times when it was simply just blood gathering, and nothing else happened. Hell, she even preferred the times when they brought Shiro in just to take him back out when he was angry enough. But the "unconscious" trials, as they put it, were becoming abysmal.
They would happen almost as constantly as the blood gathering, but it was enough to drive Fei nuts. Every time it happened, there would most definitely be swinging of the cage and unbearable heat. At first, it started when the boy (or animal really) wanted to get into her cage or take her out of it. Now, it happens whenever he wanted Fei to cool the cage down. And if it didn't happen, he would whimper before striking the cage with his tail, the thumps annoying her until she finally relented.
In some parts, this bizzare shift in Shiro's personality was... Oddly cute? He acted like a dog, waiting for a treat. He was easily controlled for the most part, with the exception of making him angry. Then, it was almost uncontrollable chaos. Still, compared to being aggressively insulting or painfully non-reactive, this one at least had some charm to it. Even so, the farther away he was, the better.
Today marked the ending of another trial, and Kabuto seemed rather pleased with the results.
"Looks like this method of keeping you here is working as expected. The unconscious phase is slowly teterring out. He's regaining his senses in this dragon form faster and faster with each trial."
"Woohoo, how great. Does that mean I can stop being a stupid swinging rag doll and leave?" Fei asked, far more comfortable in talking with the boy than before. He simply chuckled before shaking his head.
"I'm afraid not. We still have to make sure that it is completely gone. Can't have him going haywire unmonitored. Once we confirm that, we can move to researching the next phase. Beaides, we still haven't completed our research on you."
"Ugh!" Fei slumped against her cage, pouting, "It'll be a gamble to see which version of him I get..."
"Suppose so, but that's not my issue," the boy paused before looking at her, "I been meaning to tell you, but the Lord, Sasuke, and I will be heading out tonight. I'm unsure how long we will be gone, but you will be monitored by Shiro and other affiliates of ours. Be on your best behavior."
"Hmp, like I care where you go. I'm still upset at him for getting me trapped here... Tell him to go fuck himself..." Fei mumbled to herself.
"i won't. Regardless, the hideout may be less guarded, but by no means will you be able to escape. There's a lot of dangerous thing here, and sometimes they like a little jog, so just stay here and make it easier for yourself. Or you might die, and that won't be good for anyone."
"Whatever... You mind leaving now? You're not fun to talk to today." Fei said as they walked back to her orignal cell. He shrugged with a smirk before leaving and time passed. She waited for him to return as usual to get some samples of her blood. But this time, he did not appear. She waited a little longer before smirking.
'Finally, this is the time. I'm leaving here!' Fei slowly began to turn herself to water, the chakra cuffs clanking against the floor as she exited through the bars of the cell, 'Heh, I can't believe he would tell me that! I guess he underestimated me far too much!'
She paused, considering the situation a little more, 'Still though... it's actually super weird that he told me that information... I gotta be on guard, just in case.'
Fei then opened the door to her prison and sneakily made her way through the maze of the hideout. She had no weapons, only her dad's trident, which she didn't know how to use. Still, she had some chakra, and with a little more time, she could use it if need be once it's regenerated a bit. For now, she simply had to avoid others and find an exit.
