Today was another experiment involving the cage. After three times of repeating the first method, it was time for a change. This time, the boy with glasses told her it was going to be more risky. They would see his reaction to making him upset. Fei didn't mind hurling some insults here and there to a guy she hated, for sure. But this was not what she had in mind.
Currently, she was being thrashed around by others trapped in the hideout like her. But unlike her, their experimentation was far more personal, bodily even. All of them had disfigurments that ranged from animalistic to grotesque and hard to look at. There were two small guys: one had animalistic features that resembled a bird of prey, but the wings he was supposed to have were broken and crude, sticking out of his back. The other was sickly looking, pale skin and sleepless eyes, yet possessed enough strength to hurl her cage around. Finally, there was a big guy who was bloated and discolored, a strange thin layer of membrane coating him. He possessed much strength, but he was slow and raging as he violently crashed into her cage to break it.
Fei held on for dear life, waiting for the attack to be called off.
'What the fuck is happening?! How does this relate to making Shiro angry?! Cause other people are playing around over here?! I hate these people!!' Fei thought as she heard the glass of her cage crack. Her eyes widened as she saw those cracks slowly begin to grow with each body slam. She looked at the room where Kabuto was to see if he was going to intervene, but of course, he wasn't.
She braced herself as surely enough, the glass broke and the big guy pulled apart the cage bars with ease. Fei let herself get caught by the ankle, feeling herself get flung out and thrown across the room. She swiftly recovered, though the force of the guy's grasp left her ankle hurting.
'Fuck... Without my chakra, I'm not going to fair very well against these guys. Ugh... some intel from Hana and Tama would've been nice. This is the last time I leave the house without my beads.' Fei's thoughts were interrupted as the bird guy launched at her.
She quickly flipped over him and, with all her strength and body weight, crashed into him with both feet, smashing him into the ground. The sickly guy went after her next, to which she used her chunky chakra cuffs to block the punch he delivered before kicking him away and jumping off the bird man. As she jumped, though, the sickly man released strange tendril from his back, yelping painfully as he did so.
"Uck!! EW!!" Fei exclaimed as she felt the slimy tendril wrap around her and throw her to the big man, who used both hands to bat her against the wall, which hurt a lot. Fei shouted out as she felt the impact. Still, she managed to recover as she wobbled against the wall and onto the ground. She painfully clenched her stomach as she observed the three approach.
"Lord Orochimaru offered us freedom and power if we took care of you permanently. I thought it would be a difficult job but I was wrong." the big guy said.
'Wait what?! What happened to the whole 'use me till he was ready' plan? Or that fairy blood or whatever? Arg damnit! I don't have a choice now!! I gotta remove these!'
"A little girl like you, and in chakra cuffs no less, it's as if he wanted us to win. I will take this opportunity the Lord gave me, and show my worth right now!!" The sickly man yelled as he shot his tendrils at Fei. Just as she was about to jump out of the way and into her water body, everyone heard a vicious snarl before a deafening roar.
Fei looked up to where her cage once was to see Shiro, transformed and seethingly angry. He was on all fours, growling at the three men. They also paused, looking up at the boy in confusion. He jumped high up in the air, spinning as he landed roughly in front of Fei, defensively placing himself as guard.
