Aite looked back at the lavender eyed man, who was sleeping soundly after struggling to do so. He looked disheveled, Fei's kidnapping hitting him hard. It took Aite a long while to get him to finally fall asleep, staying by his side until he knew he wasn't alone. Aite reassured him that he would get her back soon, combing his soft locks with his hands as he slept.

He had his full gear on, no mask but a regular shinobi uniform. A backpack of supplies and weapons, a promise to fulfill. He left a note beside his sleeping partner's desk, before making his way out the window and dashing for the gate.

He had never gone against the rules before, much less of an authority. However, he knew that if he didn't do anything himself, he would crumble. This wasn't just for himself, but for Natsume and Fei. Make sure they were okay. Even if he had to risk the career he had worked hard for, he had to save his sensei's daughter. He sneakily made it past the gate, looking to see if there was anyone following. However, it appeared the coast was clear.

He jumped further away from the village but suddenly turned upon hearing the rustling of bushes. Not one to joke around, he immediately threw kunai in the direction of the sound. He heard a yelp before the person jumped out of the bushes, hands raised. He furrowed his brow, annoyed.

'Oh... you can't be serious...' He thought.

"You shouldn't be here, Naruto! Leave at once!" Aite said firmly, pointing towards the village.

"What are you doing here, then?!" The blonde deflected, as he also had some supplies of his own. Less prepared than Aite's, but there.

"That's none of your business. If you intend on following me, forget it!" He pointed toward the Village again, "Go!"

"No! I told you, didn't I? I'm going to look for Fei, too! And if a stickler for the rules like you is going, then why can't I?" The blonde argued, looking at him with fierce eyes.

"This is different, you brat! Look at the difference in experience! And you've barely ever left the village before. Don't ruin your chances as a shinobi when you just started!!" Aite said as he rubbed his temples, frustrated. He was hoping to travel alone. More discreet for where he was planning on going. Now, not only did he have company, but it had to be Naruto of all people, who continued to shake his head, even walking ahead of Aite in defiance. Aite quickly grabbed him as he scolded him.

"Hey! Leave, now. You just got discharged from the hospital, and now you're joining me? Aren't you supposed to be with Master Jiraiya?" Aite asked, and Naruto shook his head as he yanked his arm away.

"No! My training with the Pervy sage hasn't started yet! And so what if I just got out?! That means I'm better now! You're taking me with you!"

'Ugh, damnit, I don't have time for this!' Aite thought before glaring at the boy, "Fine. Come. But if you make even a single step out of line, you go back. Understand?"

Naruto nodded, smirking at him, "Trust me, there's no way I'm coming back without Fei!" And so the two made off towards the border of the Village.

It didn't take long, both running towards the edge to get there as quick as possible. Still, they took a break for the night, figuring that tomorrow would be a long day of searching. Besides, the boy looked tired, and Aite felt bad for him. He was the same age as Fei, and in one way or another, he appreciated his stubborness to finding her. Still, not wanting to bluntly ask him if he's alright, he disguised it as an order to rest. The boy grumbled at the strict man, but as soon as they prepared their camp, he was about ready to give in to sleep.
