A/N: Today's chapter is slightly shorter than usual, and so will be the Wednesday's chapter as well. But it will all be replaced on Friday, because I have a little Valentine's Day surprise waiting for you<3
Have a great day,
Lulu
On the morning of February 1st, Mary, Clary and Alison sat by the Slytherin table, enjoying their breakfast. As usual, Clary was drowning herself into a cup of coffee whilst Alison gave her beloved girlfriend an eyeroll. Mary, who was sipping her coffee in a more sophisticated way, eyed the High Table where the teachers were seated.
"Looking for your man?" Alison asked as she placed her cup on the table, giving Mary a knowing smirk as she had noticed the young witches eyes flickering back and forth between the great wooden doors and the High Table. Mary blushed slightly and quickly turned her gaze away from the High Table.
"No... Severus just hasn't come out yet", Mary muttered and took another sip of her boiling hot coffee. Alison raised an eyebrow but decided to continue arguing.
Clary, who had slowly adjusted to the idea that Mary and Severus were now in a rather serious relationship, chimed in.
"Is everything alright between you two?" she asked, a sincere concern seeping through her soft voice. Mary turned her moss-green eyes to Clary's blue-grey ones and gave her an assuring smile.
"Yeah, everything's alright", Mary said.
Clary gave her a quick nod and a smile, before smashing her face back to her large mug of coffee.

The day went on peacefully as Mary alongside with Clary and Alison got through their schedule, trying her best to concentrate on her studies and not the looming creature at the back of her mind. The creature, who happened to be the school's Potions' Master.
The candles flickered beautifully in the Great Hall as Mary, Clary and Alison were seated by the Slytherin table, enjoying the dinner as they quietly spoke of the events of the passing day. Now and then, Mary would find her eyes landing on the High Table, where Severus was sitting next to Professor Quirrel.
Alison, who found Mary very obvious glances hilarious, rolled her eyes and smirked as Mary's cheeks would flush whenever her gaze met with Severus'.
"You are absolutely impossible", Alison muttered as she shook her head. She took a fork and a knife in her slender hands as she started to cut the steak in front of her, still muttering about how Mary and Severus seriously needed to get a room.
Just when Mary was about point out, that Severus does have a room, something dropped on the table.
It was a letter with Mary's name written on top of it.
"Interesting", Mary muttered as she reached for the letter, taking it in her hands as she studied the writing on the envelope. The handwriting was familiar, Mary instantly knew who had sent the letter.
Mary ripped open the envelope and pulled out a neatly folded piece of parchment.
Dearest Mary,
I am writing to you in request of asking you to join me on the Easter Break. You wrote to me earlier and informed me that you preferred to spend the Christmas holidays at Hogwarts. Now, that the holidays are passed and the Easter is closing in, I am asking if you would care to join me during your break.
Your friends are more than welcome to join us, if that is the matter of your previous refusal.
Hope to see you soon.
Kind regards,
Theodore Montgomery
After reading the letter, Mary folded it back to the envelope and lifted her gaze back to Alison and Clary, who were eagerly waiting for Mary to spill the details of the letter. A small smirk spread on Mary's lips as she sighed and informed her friends that the letter wasn't from Severus.
"But I do have a question to ask from you two", Mary continued, a grin tugging the corner of her lips as her friends had seemed disappointed hearing that the letter wasn't from Mary's secret boyfriend.
"What?" Clary and Alison asked in unison.
"How are you two feeling about the idea of spending the Easter Break at the Montgomery Mansion?"
Clary and Alison both shot up, excitement gleaming in their eyes as they nodded eagerly. They both have always been keen on visiting Mary's home, as they knew that Mary's family was, well, wealthy. Mary giggled at her friends as she placed the letter on the table, glancing towards the High Table where Severus was clearly looking at them.
"Alright then", Mary sighed as she returned her attention back to Ali and Clary. "It's decided then. I'll write to Uncle Theo tomorrow."
