{THE QUIDDITCH WORLD CUP}
'Anertha! Come on, we've got to go.' Cedric yawned from downstairs. It was stupidly early, Anertha didn't sleep. Her and Cedric spent hours talking about the upcoming event. She decided it was better packing and making sure she looked good, rather than sleep. 'Annie!' Cedric called again, but from down the hall. He came staggering into the room, half asleep. he rolled his eyes when he saw her running a large brush through her silky brown hair. 'I'm coming, looks like it. Sis, you look fine, Fred won't care-' She scowled at him. 'Not everything I do is for him.' Cedric raised an eyebrow, as if to say 'Yeah right.' Cedric took Anertha's bag off the floor, 'come on!' He pulled her out of the room by her arm.
As they walked to where they would be meeting the Weasleys, Anertha began to regret the lack of sleep; she leant against Cedric as they followed their father. 'How much further?' Cedric moaned. 'We're here. Though the others are not.' Amos replied. They waited. Anertha slouched on the ground against a tree and closed her eyes. 'Get up Anertha; you'll get dirt on your clothes.' Anertha groaned at her father as Cedric pulled her to her feet. 'I know what will wake you up, a climb.' Cedric smiled as he eyed the tree she had been leaning on. She blinked sleepily. When she refocused Cedric was already sitting in the tree. 'Ced! Get down, they'll be here soon.' She called to him. 'Come join me then.' He smirked. 'Dad, Ced's in the tree.' Amos looked up and laughed. 'That's my boy. Anertha don't be childish.' She frowned unpleasantly. She looked up at her brother. He looked back down at her with an 'I'm sorry' look on his face. It was no secret Amos preferred Cedric.
'Ah, here they come!' Amos called. Anertha followed her father's gaze. There he was her red-haired beacon of light. As their father's greeted, she threw herself around Fred, he hugged her tight. She felt Cedric leave the tree and land behind her, no doubt being shown off by her father. Fred took her hand as the group began to move again. 'You didn't sleep did you? No one looks that good this early.' 'That obvious?' She replied. George sniggered from beside them. 'Anertha, you couldn't be more obvious if you were screaming it in someone's face.' She frowned a little. 'Is it bad to want to look nice?' 'Ignore him, you look lovely.' Fred held her close. George pretended to be sick then laughed. 'Dads bugging Harry.' Cedric popped up behind them. Anertha turned to find her father holding back with Harry. 'DAD! Leave him alone, it's early.' She shouted.
The group soon arrived at the portkey. It was in the shape of a boot. She noticed Harry give it a confused look. 'It's a portkey.' She heard Fred confirm to him. She knelt on the cold, wet grass and took hold of it, Fred and Cedric appeared either side of her. She hated travelling by portkey, made her feel ill. She closed her eyes as they all began to spin. She only opened them again when she heard Arthur tell the others to let go. She laughed as she saw all but her, Arthur, Amos and Cedric fall to the floor in a tangle of limbs. First time by portkey she guessed. As her feet hit the ground, Fred scrambled up from the floor. 'You must teach me that, I'm covered in dirt now.' He did not look amused. She smiled at him sympathetically.
As they made their way to their tents, the atmosphere around them was buzzing with excitement. There was so much going on; it was hard to know where to look. 'This is us.' She heard Arthur shout up ahead. 'You coming with us?' Fred asked. 'I really should go with dad.' She said sadly. She didn't want to leave. 'Nonsense' Arthur said as he walked to them. 'You can stay with us until after the match.' Fred grinned widely. 'I'll see you inside.' He said cheerfully. Soon all the Weasleys were gone. She was left standing with her father and Cedric. 'Be good.' Her father said shortly as he hugged and kissed her goodbye. 'Dad I'm not a child.' 'No, well...Just be good. I'll see you at the match. Come on Ced.' Cedric hugged her tight. 'See you later.' He smiled. She watched them walk away before turning to the tent. She found Harry looking in, amazed. 'Great, isn't it?' She smiled. She could hear Ginny and Hermione squealing in excitement, followed by the twins shouting 'Feet of the table!' in a tone of mockery and annoyance. No doubt winding their father up. 'Come on...' She urged Harry as they entered the tent. She immediately made her way to Fred and George, who were sat with their feet on the table, no surprise there. Fred lowered his legs off the table and pulled Anertha down onto him. He held her close to him. 'Took you long enough.' He whispered.
The match was amazing. They had seen nothing like it. As Anertha made her way back to her tent with her father and Cedric, she began to miss the Weasleys; they would still be talking about it. Not her family though, her father was concentrating on getting through the crowd and Cedric never spoke when he was tired, it was like talking to a troll. They had barely been in the tent two minutes when screams erupted from outside. 'Dad?' Cedric asked concerned as his father dashed out of the tent to look. He came running back inside, face pale and full of worry. 'You have to go, look after each other, go back to the portkey. I will find you there.' He embraced them both before leaving again. 'Dad?!' Anertha called after him. 'Come on, you heard him, grab your bag.' Cedric was rushing around picking up the last of his things before taking her hand and leaving the tent. Anertha stopped and took note of what was going on around her. Her eyes opened wide at the horror. 'Ced. We've got to find Fred and the others.' No response. 'Ced?' She turned to find Cedric...Well nowhere. 'CEDRIC?!' She called frantically. She made her way through the crowd, still calling his name. She soon found him. He was stood with a blonde haired woman, just staring, Anertha noticed other men around her begin to sway towards her. 'Veela.' She spat. 'Hey! Now is not the time for your womanly power control, you idiot! Do you want to get them killed?' The blonde Veela broke her focus to glare at Anertha. 'You have no business interrupting me, you lower being.' She snarled. 'Yeah, well I want to get out of here and I need him..' She nodded at Cedric, who was still under Veela's spell. 'So..Sorry...Petrificus Totalus!' The Veela froze and fell to the floor with an ugly expression. 'Well I did say sorry.' Anertha smirked. 'What happened?' Cedric mumbled when his eyes fell on the sprawled blonde. ' You. Being a man.' Anertha sighed, as she tugged her brother away towards safety. 'I've always hated blondes.' She hissed.
Fred and George were under orders to keep Ginny safe. But as they ran through the crowds, Fred couldn't help but worry about someone else. 'We have to find Anertha.' He called to his twin. 'Don't be thick Fred, they could be anywhere! They'll probably head to the portkey too. Ginny is our focus right now!' Fred knew George was right but he couldn't bear the thought of her out there somewhere. They got to the portkey fine, they stood in silence as they watched tents burn. 'Please.' Fred started muttering repeatedly, looking into the crowds. 'ANERTHA!' Ginny cried out in relief. 'Where?' Fred suddenly shouted. Then he saw her. Hand in hand with her brother. Her face lit up when she saw the twins. She threw her arms around them all one by one but clung to Fred, relieved he was ok, as he was her. 'I was so worried.' He whispered into her ear as he held her close. Not wanting to let her go. Ginny gasped and George whispered 'Oh no' just as Cedric said shakily 'Er...Guys, look at the sky.' Fred and Anertha let go of each other and gazed upwards. They all froze at what they saw. The dark mark, his mark, floating in the sky above them.
