Valentines Day {7th year. Book}

Anertha sat opposite her best friend in the great hall at breakfast, shooting her hateful glances. A full days training? On Valentines day? Was she mad? Her and Fred had plans! 'Anertha quit looking at me like that, we need all the training we can get. Our team is shockingly bad since we lost Harry, Fred and George.' This was true, the new beaters were nothing on the twins, Anertha would often end up screaming at them to do better. 'But Ange me and Fred were going to hang out in Hogsmeade...alone...without George! Do you know how rare that is?' She looked hopefully at the team captain. She didn't budge. 'You'll find other times. Now go and see them off and I'll see you on the pitch in 15!' Angelina stood and swept out of the hall, Anertha wishing she could hex her there and then. As she made her way to the entrance hall to meet the twins, she saw Ron; looking just as glum as her, she smiled sympathetically.

'Hey!' Fred beamed as he took her hand. His smile transformed into a frown when he saw the expression on her face. 'What is it?' He asked. She sighed. 'I can't come. Ange is busting our asses. We have to train all day. The newbies are terrible.' She watched miserably as Fred's face fell. George squirmed uncomfortably beside them. 'My fault.' He whispered quietly to himself. 'She can't do that.' Fred moaned. 'Yeah, she can.' Anertha said just as miserable. 'Go and have fun. I'll see you later. George keep him entertained.' She addressed them both. Fred kissed her softly before leaving with George and Lee, shoulders slumped forwards.

Once on the pitch, her mood did not get better. Ron and Ginny were bickering over by the posts. The two new beaters kept dropping their bats and Angelina kept barking orders at her and Katie. Training did not go well. At one stage Ron fell off his broom, Ginny and Katie collided and Anertha got so fed up with the beaters she took a bat from them and proceeded to hit them with it repeatedly before throwing it across the pitch and through a hoop. Everyone avoided her after that. 'I saw this coming, she wants to be elsewhere.' She heard Ginny whispering to Katie as they landed on the ground. Angelina didn't know whether to laugh or be mad at her chaser's behaviour, but she opted to laugh than get into a fight with a girl who was missing out on Valentines.

As they made their way back to the changing rooms, Anertha saw a familiar face standing in the stands. Fred. Her heart jumped. She ran towards him, smiling broadly. Fred scooped her up and kissed her hard. 'You're back early?' She said pleased. 'Yeah, we'll I wasn't having fun watching couples. Besides I got something for you.' He sounded very excited. Anertha looked at him shocked. Fred pulled a small bag from his pocket, he handed it to his girlfriend. She opened the bag to find a small box inside. She pulled the box from the bag and held it in her hand. 'Open it then.' Fred said eagerly. She did so to find a ring inside. It was beautiful, the ring had a small heart shaped blue sapphire set into the middle of it. Her birthstone. He remembered. 'Fred it's lovely, but how did you afford this?' Fred shook his head. 'That's for me to know. It's not as big as you deserve, but-' '-I love it.' She kissed him, she had never been more in love with him. When they met George later that evening he told her how Fred did his head in complaining the whole time they were there. 'He disappeared for ages and came back with that.' He nodded towards the ring on her finger. 'If that's not love, I don't know what is.' George smiled at the pair of them.
