{The Sighting}
Anertha sat wearily in the great hall. The day been dragging on and on. The Dementors guarding the grounds didn't help her mood. She was jerked awake by two ghosts on horseback rushing along the table. She groaned. 'Hate it when they do that.' 'Oh cheer up Annie.' George nudged her shoulder smiling. She couldn't help but smile back. Fred whispered to the pair of them. 'Hey, have you heard what Malfoy is saying?' He nodded behind him. Anertha twitched her ears and turned her head to listen in on Malfoy. He was milking his injury for all he could get. 'Pathetic.' She muttered, the twins nodded in agreement. 'HE'S BEEN SIGHTED! SIRIUS BLACK HAS BEEN SIGHTED!!' Came a screech of a third year, he was holding out a copy of the Daily Prophet for them all to see. Fred's hand was on Anertha's within seconds. He squeezed it tight as Hermione read out the article. Fear covered the faces of all the students at the Gryffindor table. Others from other tables were beginning to look around and read their own articles, the atmosphere in the hall dropped as one by one the students learnt of the sighting. Anertha turned her head over the the Hufflepuff table and caught the worried eye of her brother. Black had been sighted near their village during the summer, now he was near here. They were growing more afraid. She smiled tentatively at him, knowing Cedric was as worried as she was. She moved in closer to Fred for comfort, Fred stroked her hand with his thumb as a way of soothing her. She loved how the smallest things he did showed her he cared for her, even if he didn't show it in public yet.
