The vision

Are you sure you want to do this?' Fred asked concerned as Anertha raced towards the headmaster's office. 'Yes, I need to do this.' She remained her fast pace until Fred gripped her arm and brought her to a standstill. He turned her to face him. 'I don't think you should do this, you're not exactly emotionally stable right now. This could break you.' She looked at the floor. 'I am already broken....Fred I need this....I need to see how he died. I can't go the rest of my life with what ifs floating around. No I need answers.' Fred let go of her in defeat. 'Ok...ok well I won't leave your side.' She smiled at this and led the way. Fred followed with a bad feeling looming over him. Anertha knocked on the office door and it opened immediately. Inside Harry stood nervously whilst Dumbledore sat strong in his chair. 'Miss Diggory.' He said softly as she entered with Fred in tow. He took note of Fred and nodded. Anertha and Harry shared a look; one that showed Harry really didn't want to be doing this, whereas Anertha needed him to cooperate. She stared him down harshly, she had one objective. 'Are we ready?' Dumbledore broke the silence. Anertha nodded once. Fred swallowed hard, worried. Harry stepped forwards to the pensieve and drew out his wand. Dumbledore guided him on how to extract a memory. Fred gasped slightly as a long whispy strand came from Harry's head, Anertha's face on the other hand didn't change. Harry dropped to memory into bowl of the pensieve. Dumbledore gestured for her to come forward, she did so without hesitation. 'Just bend over the bowl and it will do the rest.' Without taking a breath she bent over and found her feet leave the floor.

She landed in a dark place. A graveyard? Her heart sank immediately. What a place to die. She heard the swirls of a portkey and the thump of body's landing. They were here. She walked around the graveyard to find them. She stopped when she found Cedric laughing at the portkey. ' It's a portkey Harry, the cup is a portkey.' She wanted to run forward and hug him but she couldn't. Harry was insisting they get back to the cup but Cedric didn't move. 'Do as he says Ced.' She pleaded but then remembered she couldn't change the events she was about to see. A figure appeared from the shadows. She squinted, trying to see who it was. Cedric had his wand raised. 'He tried to fight.' She began to cry to a little. 'Kill the spare.' This was it...time felt like it had slowed down....as if in slow motion she watched a green flash hit her brother, his body flew backwards in the air limp, landing harshly on the ground. Shock filled her for a second. 'NOOOO!' She ran to him but she couldn't touch him. His eye stared empty up at her. 'Oh, Ced.' She cried heavily. She felt herself being dragged back to the office. 'No! I'm not ready to leave!' Her head span and she landed in the office. Falling into Fred's arms. Tears still streaming down her face. 'He fought valiantly.' She cried into his shoulder. Harry and Dumbledore stood quietly. 'Your brother was brave until the end.' Dumbledore comforted. Anertha turned to face them. 'Thank you for letting me see that.' Harry nodded sheepishly. Dumbledore smiled softly. Fred took her back to the common room with Harry shortly after. Fred was annoyed at Harry for participating. 'It might help her cope.' He urged when Fred had a go at him. 'She will never be able to remember him as he was. She will only see what she saw.' She was quiet for the rest of the evening. The image of her twin's death fixed into her mind. It would be a while before she remembered the happier times her and Cedric had but eventually she would.
