The Package {linked to the 5th book}
It was that time of morning. The arrival of the post owls. The students chattered excitedly as parcel after parcel was delivered. 'Ugh.' George complained when an owl landed directly in front of him and knocked his pumpkin juice onto his lap. The owl had dropped a small box in front of Anertha, she eyed it suspiciously. 'Pay the owl already, it's getting food everywhere.' George continued to moan. Fred slipped a Knut into the owls pouch and it flew off happily. 'Thanks.' His girlfriend murmured absent mindedly. She would pay him back later, if he let her of course. Her eyes remained fixed on the box in front of her. 'Whose it from? ' Fred asked. She took a deep breath and replied. 'Dad. Mum leaves little hearts on the corner of the wrapping so I know it's her. Mum doesn't send anything anymore, not since Cedric died. She always sent us the same thing, always sent two packages. Now she only needs to send one, its too much of a reminder that he's gone. The less she has the think about Hogwarts, the easier she copes.' The twins didn't know how to respond to that, Fred opted for taking her hand lovingly. 'You gonna open it?' He advised her. She should, she was curious to know what her father had sent her. She lifted the top of the box open carefully and let out a small gasp at what she saw. Galleons and lots of them. Fred peered in and saw the money. 'Woah.' There was a letter taped to the top, Anertha retrieved it and read it, she let out a snort of laughter. 'He's trying to buy my affection. I mean he says here that he's sorry for the way things are and he has already lost one child and he doesn't want to lose another. Nowhere does he say sorry for how he actually treated me or anything!' She didn't want his money. Her mother sent her enough. 'How much did he send you?' George asked, wondering. '50 Galleons.' The twins jaws dropped. 'He used to send me and Cedric around 10 Galleons every now then, well he said he did. He always gave Ced more, but Ced would share the difference with me. God I miss him.' Fred put an arm around her. 'I know you do.' He said, being supportive. Anertha sat up straight and smiled. 'Besides, i don't need his money. I have you two to make me happy.' They both smiled at her. 'That's very sweet and all Annie and I speak for both of us when I say we feel the same but maybe he's just trying to look after the one child he has left?' Anertha eyed George, when did he get so grown up? She shrugged. 'Maybe but it's a little too late. However I don't want it and therefore I am giving it to you two, use it on your products. He can't buy my love.' She closed the box and looked up to find them both staring at her in disbelief. She pushed the box towards Fred. He just stared at it. 'We can't take this.' He tried to argue. 'Yeah you can-' She began to argue back when a flock of owls came swooping in and taking over the table in front of Harry....
