Hey hope,

These words are not for you,

Never for me to say.

You were not sure of yourself,

You were very sad today.

You have got all the best dressings of skin, hair and heart.

But that is not what matters much.

You are affable, kind and comforting.

You are so giving and love with all of you.

I have known you,

You have had your share of miseries,

Being an orphan, raised by an uncaring aunt.

Even then you chose not to succumb to life's complexities.

Though there were times, I thought, You were slipping away,

But you are strong, fighting with this cruel life, You chose to be this way.

And yet, You doubt yourself?

How can you?

Baby, I hope I did make you trust yourself today,

And show you, your reflection, like I have always been.

I want to be your strength,

Not a best friend who fell for you,

Making your life even more complicated,

For you to part ways with the only person,

Who can make you see the mirror,

And can make you smile.

Just as a friend.

Not as a lover,

Who I am sure

You don't want in me.
