Some Inane Reason

She stared me,

Unswerving into my eyes.

She knew,

I was leaving her behind.

But, for some insane, inane reason,

She kissed me with passion

Of nascent found love,

Of forever breeding care,

And made me believe,

That she will be waiting for me,

Forever and the time that lies beyond.

For some insane, inane reason,

I took my luggage,

Boarded the train,

And didn't leave her behind,

But took with me her promise of incessant.

I lived my life afar,

Relentless determination to come back

For her promise,

Even when I was to leave her with

The wails of the train whistles that day,

And then one day I came back,

Only to find her long gone.
