Afraid

Heart playing rock in my ribcage,
Sweat glistening my skin,
Mind shaking to the beats
Of honking venom from my thoughts,
Senses super vigil of what's happening.

I look around to see shadows lurking,
Catching up with my fierce strides,
Every corner filled the spectators,
Staring me with those eyes.

Saying "we know what you did,
We know you are in trouble",
I walk among them feeling naked
Of the truth inside.

Then I glance at them,
No! they really don't know me.
It is me giving myself trouble,
Fearful of what consequences may be.

I have done something,
Of which the society doesn't allow.
Or maybe, I am just different,
Something they don't follow.

So I am just fearful
At every nook
Of my ways
Which doesn't stick to conformity,
But may not be all wrong.
