A push and pull,
You want to be with me,
I can see you love me,
Still every time you walk out the door,
I know deep inside,
That there is a world for you,
Where you are happy,
Which I am not a part of.
I try to push the boundaries,
I want to be in everything you do,
I want to be your shadow.
I know I am being difficult,
But for me, life is you,
Everything about you,
Every world you are a part of,
Is my world too.
I know it becomes claustrophobic,
I know you want some space to you,
I know I am not the only one for you,
But you don't know,
For you, I give up all my spaces,
I banish all my worlds.
But for you,
I try restricting myself,
Giving you some slack.
I try,
Because I don't want to become
A rope around your neck.
I have learnt to feel that you have
Different worlds then me.
One day, I will learn to live with my shadow.
One day, I will learn to be everything for myself.
One day, I will learn to find happiness
Apart from you.
One day, I will learn to let you go too.
