"Nice to see you again Sophie. You too mac. Now, anything to drink?"

After we had ordered, I stared daggers at my cousin.

"What??" She asked

"You know him?"

"Yep! Ever since I was little!"

"We'll, tell me about him."

She started telling me everything se j we about him.

"I've known him since kindergarten. All the girls have always been swarming around him, but he's only dated one girl before and it wasn't anything serious. He's kind of quiet until you get to know him. He broke the girls heart though, so you'd have to watch that."

"Did you ever think that maybe she broke mine too?" Mason asked, overhearing us as he brought our food.

I looked at him and he weakly smiled back.

"Sorry, we weren't trying to gossip," I said, playing with my hair nervously

"It's cool." He said and walked away.

When we were getting our money out to pay, I decided to take a chance. I took one of the napkins and wrote my name and number on it. I put it next to the tip and began to slide out of the booth. Just then, a group of girls came through the entrance. "Mason? Mason, baby where are you?" A girl screeched in an annoying high pitched voice. He turned to face her.

"There you are!!!" She said running over to the table he was cleaning.

That was it.

I tore the napkin up and walked out.

"Why did you tear the napkin up? Did you write a love letter on it or something?" Sophie asked later.

"No, never mind."

My phone started ringing at about 11:30pm. I didnt recognize the number so I let it go to voicemail. Then it rang again. I finally picked up.

"Hello?" I said in a tired voice.

"Mac?"

"Yes? Who is this?"

"The guy you gave the napkin to," mason chuckled.

"Damn! I thought I tore that up this morning!"

"Haha you did, I just put the pieces together," he said with a smile in his voice.

"Great." I said sarcastically.
