"I know you probably don't want to but,... Do you think you'd want to go on a date sometime?"

I pretended to gasp in a super flattered and shocked way.

"Mason Blake? Asking ME out on a date? I can't wait to call all of my BFFs and tell them everything!" I joked. "No but seriously, you want to go out, with ME?" He laughed.

"Yes! And I promise, I won't throw popcorn in your hair this time," he winked.

"Absolutely. I'm in." I smiled.

It was now 3 weeks later, and I was getting out of my car with groceries and heading toward the house. As I approached the house, I noticed something on the porch. someone. I dropped my grocery bags on the dirt ground when I was about 50 feet away.

"Mason??"

"Hey darlin!"

I ran toward him as fast as I could and jumped into his arms. I was so happy to see him! We hadn't seen each other for almost a week due to him having to go out of town for work. I wrapped my legs around his waist and he put his arms around me, holding me close as we caught up on a weeks worth of kissing.

"I missed you!" I said in between kisses and giggling.

"I missed you more!" He laughed against my lips.

We had a nice afternoon of first putting my groceries away, going for a walk, taking a swim in the pond near my house, and then getting ice cream.

We had done all of these things almost everyday since we had been together, and it was the best thing I'd ever experienced. We had become best friends. We would spend all day together, doing various things around town. Then at night, he would usually come over and we would snuggle up close in each others arms and talk for hours an hours until we fell asleep.

We had been together for about a month and a half, and I couldn't even think about how I was supposed to go back home in less than two months. Being here, it was like escaping reality. I was here, and I got to be here with mason. How could I ever leave??
