(Macs POV)

Once I finised Rachel's makeover, she looked like the 9 year old was gone and a 13 year old took her place!

"Wow! I look just like you! I'm gorgeous!! MOM!!!" She said and ran out of the room. I laughed and started to clean up the mess. Rachel had insisted on using every product I used on my hair and face, so I had two of everything. I unplugged my curling iron and put it in my bag. I straightened up her little desk and saw through her window that she had run next door to the neighbors house to show her friends her new look. I chuckled to myself and was glad I decided to come over. It had meant so much to her and was actually kid of fun for me too! I put two cotton balls, a bottle of makeup remover and a note on her desk.

"Dear Rachel,

Use these to clean that stuff off of your face! I had a lot of fun today, lets do it again sometime! :)

I went downstairs and stepped into the kitchen where Theresa stood making dinner.

"Theresa? I'm just going to head home. I saw Rachel go next door so I left a note saying goodbye. Thanks for letting me over!" I said

"Of course Mackenzie! Please come over anytime! You are always welcome here!" She said and hugged me. It was so, nice to have a motherly figure besides aunt Debbie tell me that. I didn't really take it to heart when ain't Debbie said she loved me. She was forced to after all right? But Theresa barely knew me and treated me so kindly. I loved masons whole family!

I left and got in my car and called mason on my Bluetooth. It went to voicemail and I remembered he was probably finishing up at work. I didnt leave a message and went home. We were going out to dinner with some friends of his later, so I showered and got dressed before mason got there.

I was wearing a tight navy blue longsleeve bandage dress and let my long blonde hair fall in waves. I did light makeup and was ready to go by the time I heard a knock on the door.

"Wow!" He said as I opened and smiled at him. He didnt tell me where we were going, but he was wearing a suit. I had never seen him in a suit before, and I could tell he knew I was a little taken back by his looks.

"Ready?" He smirked and held out his hand. I took it and we headed toward his car.

(Mason's POV)

Damn. Mac looked so good! She was always so naturally beautiful, but with her blue dress making her eyes pop, her long hair soft and shiny,....ugh get a grip mason!! I tried not to stare too long as we walked out to my car. I was takin her to meet some of my friends and since she's from the city I decided to take her to a more classy restaurant tonight. My friends made fun of me for taking every detail of who was coming, where, and when but I wanted it to be perfect. Mac was the girl I loved, I'd do anything to make her happy.

On the car ride there, she was quiet, but would randomly start humming or quietly singing along with the songs on the radio. It was on the country station and the radio host announced they would be playing a Luke Bryan hit next.

"I LOVE Luke Bryan!!!" She said. I laughed.

"Country girl shake it for me girl, shake it for me girl, shake it for me!" She sang along. It was so cute.

"Don't act like you don't know the words and want to sing along!" She laughed at me. I did! I gave in an started to sing along. While we were singing, we pulled up to the restaurant and sat in the parking lot, still jammin out to country girl. When it was finally over and we belted out the last few notes, we laughed hysterically and caught our breath.

"That was fun," she whispered with a smile on her face. "I hope your friends like me!"

"Don't worry, they will!"

We walked into the restaurant and saw all of his friends waiting for is already.

Mac met Marcus and his girlfriend Tessa, Kyle, who wouldn't stop staring down Macs dress, Greg, and Caleb and his girlfriend Megan. We sat down and they all started to ask Mac a bunch of questions.

"One at a time!" I said putting my arm around me. She looked up at me and gave me a reassuring smile.

After they grilled her with questions, we ordered our food. The waitress as tryin to be a little too friendly towards me, even with my arm around Mac. I could tell Mac was noticing because every time she came around macs body would tense up against mine. We ordered our drinks and she wanted a Bloody Mary .

When the waitress handed everyone their drinks, she made her way toward our side of the table and handed us ours. As she reached for macs, I didn't see exactly what happened, but I felt Mac jump straight up in the air. She was covered in her red drink. She looked down and ran to the bathroom with tears in her eyes. I didnt even see or hear the waitresses excuse to what had happened, I had to go find Mac.
