Our drive home was filled with a comfortable silence. It wasn't awkward. I would casually look over at mason, and quickly smile and look away when he caught me, and he did the same. When we finally reached my house, he came in to talk with me until I fell asleep as usual. He walked in the house ahead of me and turned on the light.

I turned my back to lock the door, and suddenly felt his breathing right on my neck. He was inches away from me.

"Mac," he whispered.

I turned to slowly face him. My mint green sleeveless dress got caught on the handle, so I tumbled slightly backward toward the door as he tried to pull me in the opposite direction towards him.

"What's wrong?" He asked. He hasn't noticed I was stuck, so it probably looked like I was pulling away.

"No, nothing I'm just, I'm stuck mason!" I laughed. He looked to see that the bottom part of my dress got caught on the handle. He reached behind me to fix it and then smiled at me.

Probably, 3 inches away from my face maximum, that's all. My heart was pounding in my chest and I'm surprised he wasn't able to hear it. Or maybe he could and was trying to make me feel better and not say anything.

"Mackenzie." He breathed. I noticed his breathing was as uneven as mine was and he had his eyes closed. I put my hands on either side of his face. He followed by putting his hands on my waist. He finally opened his eyes to look into mine. His green eyes that were normally filled with lightness were now a dark shade of jade green and could easily make any girl fall apart at the seams, including me,...right now! I looked away and down at the ground.

"What's wrong? Did your dress get stuck again?" The corners of his mouth pulled up into a smirk. I hit his arm playfully. "No! I was just thinking."

"About?"

"How much I like spending time with you." I smiled

"Me too. Mac, I have to tell you something," he said quietly. Now he was looking at the ground.

"What is it?" I asked.

At my words, he closed any possible distance between us and pushed me up against the wall. Our foreheads pushed together and our lips moving in synchronization.

After what seemed like going 10 minutes underwater without air, we pulled away for breath. He leaned down to press a kiss to the skin underneath my earlobe.

"I'm,..Im completely in love with you Mackenzie." He whispered and then pulled back slightly to look at my face. I smiled.

"Good. I love you too," I whispered with a smile.
