Ok ok here's the chapter!

I couldn't believe my eyes.

Ryder was being attacked, by Kyle, the guy who tried to put the moves on me when I first moved here. Masons best friend.

They hadn't really talked much after mason found out what happened, and yet he was here, helping me!

I must be more delirious than I thought. After all, I could barely see due to all of my injuries. But that was definitely kyles booming voice.

It looked as if the blurry men before me were aggressively fighting on the ground.
Ryder was wearing red last time I could see clearly. The red top guy was, losing?
Kyle was beating the crap out of him.

"K-k-Kyle. Kyle stop!" I croaked with what little voice I had left.

He looked over at me while he had Ryder pinned to the ground.

"Don't. He's not worth it." I whispered in a barely audible voice.

He looked over at Ryder. "See what you did to Mackenzie? How dare you! I'm taking you to the cops so they can deal with you. I can't even look at you, I can't believe were even related!" He shouted.

Wait what?

I slowly opened my eyes and wish I hadn't opened them to begin with.

It looked as if I was in, the hospital? I peered around to take in my surroundings. To my left, I saw about ten blurry things that were beeping and making a ton of noise. They were all connected to me through IV's.

I looked to my right and saw my beautiful boyfriend, I think.

"Mason? Is that you?" I croaked.

He turned his face to look at me and even with my impaired sight, I could clearly see he was pretty banged up as well.

He had a giant gash on the left side of his face and had a cast on both of his legs.
I gasped in horror as I saw this.

"Mason, what happened to you??"

"Long story darlin. But more importantly, how are you doing?"

"I'm fine. Fine." I lied. " Who did all of that to you? Ryder?"

"No. All of his buddies took me away from the party and tied me up and tossed me In the back of one of the boys' trucks. They took me to some sort of warehouse. I was thrown down and they all took turns kicking me, punching me.

They kept saying things like 'I wonder what Ryder is doing to her right now.' And 'you don't deserve a hot girl like that. Our boy Ryder will give her what she needs.'

They then beat me until I was unconscious.
Next thing I knew someone was pulling me out of a dumpster and taking me here."

I sobbed as his story went on with every gruesome detail.

"Babe, don't cry. I'm fine now." He tried to weakly smile at me.

"Mason this is all my fault. I'm so sorry." I sobbed harder.

"Man, I wish I could come over there and hug you right now. But seeing as we both can't move out of our hospital beds," he said and took out his phone.

I looked at him confused as he called someone amd told them to come in here to help him.
Kyle walked in and smiled at us.

He nodded at mason and pushed our hospital beds close enough to where they were touching.
Mason lifted his hand up slowly to take it in mine.

Kyle then left to give us some privacy.

"Mackenzie, this is in no way your fault. I don't ever want to hear you say that again. You did nothing, I was the one who brought you to the party. I should have better protected you."

I tried to butt in but he shushed me.

"You mean the world to me, and I'm so glad you're all right darlin. We are both pretty banged up, and won't be moving around by ourselves for quite a while, but if anything can be learned from this horrible thing, is that I never want to be without you a day in my life again.
Not right away, but as soon as I can hug you, hold you, wrap my arms around you, and keep you warm again, will you do me the extraordinary honor of marrying me?"
