The moon hung heavy in the sky, a silver disc casting an ethereal glow over the Enchanted Forest. The usual symphony of nocturnal creatures was muted, replaced by an unsettling stillness. Carlos stood alone in a clearing, the ancient trees surrounding him like silent sentinels. A strange energy thrummed beneath his skin, a power he'd felt simmering within him for as long as he could remember, but tonight, it threatened to erupt.

He clenched his fists, his breath coming in ragged gasps. His body trembled, the air around him shimmering with an unseen force. He felt his magic, usually a controlled current, surge and swell, becoming something vast, something untamed.

His eyes, once human, began to glow with an inner light, galaxies swirling within their depths. He could perceive the very fabric of reality, the delicate threads that held the universe together. The power coursing through him was terrifying, exhilarating, infinite.

He was no longer simply Carlos. He was something more, something ancient and powerful, a being of pure energy and cosmic might. He felt the universe at his fingertips, the power to create and destroy, to reshape reality itself.

A wave of fear washed over him, quickly followed by an overwhelming sense of awe. He was a god, a force of nature, a being of unimaginable power.

He reached out a hand, and the air around him crackled with energy, stars in the distant sky flaring brightly, responding to his touch, acknowledging his presence.

He was alone, yet connected to everything, to the very essence of existence. He was the darkness and the light, the beginning and the end. He was infinite.

Then, as quickly as it began, the surge of power started to subside. The celestial fire in his eyes dimmed, the cosmic awareness began to fade. He felt the universe retract, the infinite possibilities shrinking back to the boundaries of his human perception.

He was Carlos again, standing in the forest clearing, his body trembling, his mind reeling. The memory of the power he had wielded, was both terrifying and intoxicating.

He stared up at the moon, his breath coming in ragged gasps. The forest, once silent, began to stir again, the nocturnal creatures resuming their symphony. He was alone, but he knew he was changed, forever marked by the power that lay dormant within him, a power that could be unleashed again, an infinite power.

The rustling of leaves broke the silence as Mal emerged from the shadows, her face pale, her eyes wide with a mixture of fear and disbelief. She had seen everything. The air still crackled with residual energy, the very forest seeming to hold its breath.

Carlos stood in the clearing, his body trembling, his gaze fixed on the moon. He didn't move as she approached, his expression unreadable.

"Carlos?" Mal whispered, her voice barely audible.

He didn't respond, his eyes still distant, lost in the memory of the immense power he had wielded.

Mal knelt beside him, her hand hovering hesitantly above his arm. "Carlos, are you... okay?"

He finally turned his gaze towards her, his eyes filled with a deep, unsettling sadness. "Did you... did you see?" he asked, his voice rough and strained.

Mal nodded slowly, her heart pounding in her chest. "I saw," she replied, her voice trembling. "I saw everything."

A wave of shame washed over Carlos's face. He turned away, his gaze falling to the ground. "I... I don't know what happened," he said, his voice filled with despair. "I don't understand."

Mal reached out, her hand gently touching his arm. "It's okay," she said, her voice soft and reassuring. "We'll figure it out. Together."

Carlos looked up at her, his eyes searching hers. "You're not... afraid?" he asked, his voice filled with a desperate hope.
