Mal's gaze was fixed on Evie, who was outside with Jay. "I don't trust her," she muttered, her voice barely a whisper.

Carlos, sensing her unease, moved to stand beside her. "You trust me, don't you?" he asked, his voice gentle.

Mal hesitated. "I trust you," she admitted, a small smile playing on her lips. "And Jay, I suppose."

"Then why not Evie?" Carlos questioned. "She seems genuinely interested in helping us."

Mal sighed. "I know, but something about her feels off. We had a fight, and now she's suddenly our ally? It's too convenient."

"Maybe she's changed," Carlos suggested. "People can surprise you."

Mal shook her head. "I'm not taking any chances. We need to be cautious, especially with someone like her."

A moment of silence passed between them. Carlos broke the silence, his voice filled with curiosity. "What's your plan after we defeat Morgan le Fay?"

Mal's eyes flashed with determination. "I'm taking her throne. It's what rightfully belongs to me."

Carlos's heart sank. "And what about the team? Will you disband them?"

Mal considered his question. "Maybe. But if I do, I want you by my side."

Carlos's eyes widened in surprise. "You mean that?"

Mal nodded, her gaze unwavering. "Absolutely. You're my first friend, and the only one I truly trust."

As they stood there, their hands intertwined, a silent understanding passed between them.

*Flashback ends*

The frosty-haired teen sank to the ground, a heavy sigh escaping his lips. Drawing his knees to his chest, he buried his head, seeking solace in this quiet moment. This hidden nook was his sanctuary, a place where he could let his mind wander without fear. On the treacherous Isle, it was the only refuge where he dared to dream.

Mal: "Can you believe this? We left for a minute and Chad broke into our room!"

Evie: "Seriously! He stole some of our stuff!"

Jay: "Like what, exactly?"

Evie: "Our money!"

Jay: "Oh, wow. Did you guys get it back?"

Mal: "Of course. I found him, and let's just say, I took my money back...and then some."

Carlos: "Wait, don't tell me you..."

Mal: Grins mischievously "Beat him up and took his money? Yep. It felt good."

Carlos: "That's...not exactly the right way to handle it, but I gotta admit, I'm impressed. You're something else, Baby"

Mal: Smirks "I know. My cute little puppy."

Carlos rolled his eyes playfully. "You're lucky I love you."

Mal grinned. "I know, I know. But seriously, who does Chad think he is, breaking into our room like that?"

Evie: "Typical Chad. Always trying to cause trouble."

Jay: "Well, at least Mal handled it."

Carlos: "Yeah, she sure did."

Mal: "Speaking of trouble, I can't shake this feeling that something big is about to happen. Like, Maleficent-level big."

Carlos: "You think she might be coming back?"

Mal: "I don't know, but I have a bad feeling about it. We need to be prepared."

Evie: "We'll be ready for whatever she throws at us."

Jay: "Yeah, we'll protect Auradon."

*Meanwhile, In a dark, cavernous room. The only sound is the soft drip of water. Suddenly, a faint green glow begins to emanate from a hidden chamber. The glow intensifies, casting eerie shadows on the walls.*
