Assalamualaikum everyone 💜
I hope you are all doing well. I apologize for not updating sooner; I've been busy with my exams. I'm happy to share that I passed with good marks! Regarding the story, I will finish it in the next two days and then start a new one featuring one of the couples from this story. If you have any suggestions for which couple I should write about, please let me know!

Minha Ali

"Ammu", Maani whispered, making me look at him as he lay on Shahmeer's chest. His head was turned towards me, his eyes looking at me warmly.
"Yeah baby, tell me", I said gently running my finger over his cute chubby cheek.
"I...I missed you, I...i got scared when I saw so much blood", he replied his voice trembling and tears welling up in his eyes. He reached for my hand and held it tightly. "Please don't leave me again," a cry escaped his wobbly lips, and his small body shook on Shahmeer's chest.
My heart ached to see him crying like that. I didn't understand why this little boy loved me so much. Was it because I listened to everything he said? Was it because I always fulfilled his every small wish?
I leaned down and kissed his head several times, feeling his small hands clutch mine as if his life depended on it. In that moment, I promised myself I would always be there for him.
"Shh, Maani, it's okay. Ammu is fine now", I said soothingly, my voice hoarse from the events that had unfolded just hours ago. "I'm sorry I scared you, baby. But thanks to the doctors and Allah's blessings, I am going to be okay", I reassured him.
"Promise?", the little boy asked, his big doe eyes filled with worry.
I nodded and kissed his forehead, "Promise, Maani. Now, you don't have to be scared anymore", I muttered holding him close.
"Thank you, Allah, for keeping my ammu safe", he whispered making me smile at his pure and innocent love.
"I feel like a third wheel between you two", Shahmeer said, his lips curling into a playful pout.
"What do you mean?", I asked, even though I already understood what he was saying.
"Am i invisible to you both? You're busy making promises and kissing each other", he complained playfully, giving Maani a gentle tug on the cheek.
"Yes, chachu, you're third weeing", Maani replied, trying to say "wheeling", but mispronounced it, which made me chuckle.
"Yeah, I agree with my Maani, you're third weeing Mr. Mirza", I said winking at Maani, who stuck his tongue out at Shahmeer. In response, Shahmeer narrowed his eyes and began tickling Maani, whose laughter filled the once quiet room.
