"Holy shit is that ramen?" She leapt on it like a beast, not even bothering to wipe off her blood first

"Hey I was going to finish that!" Daniel protested. He had been using the round belly of his second body as a table to feast on. She rested her head on his unconscious body's stomach, groaning with pleasure as she devoured his leftover ramen.

"But YN, are you okay?" he asked worriedly.

"...Yes." Her neck still throbbed and her fingers were still wrapped up and her head was still bleeding, but she would be fine. And Daniel's belly was a very comfortable pillow. "But there's some things I need to tell you before I forget." She sat up, licking off the last dregs of sauce out of the cardboard cup.

"First." She raised a finger. "You know that shit Goo was spouting about 'Secret Friends?' I think he's making some kind of force of good fighters so that he can take a stand against Charles Choi. He asked me because of the disease I told you about, (ch. 66 Expected and Unexpected Endgames) and he asked you because you're a good fighter, or well, you've been vetted by Gun."

Daniel opened his mouth to ask a question but she raised a second finger. "Let me get it all out." If he interrupted her, she might get cold feet about sharing everything. "Second. Charles Choi told Gun to create the four major crews. I know it was to raise money for his business, which is why he is so desperate to keep all illegal activities under wraps, because it could possibly connect back to him."

She nodded to herself. She was beginning to suspect something. "2.5. Workers and Charles Choi are NOT on the same side." And I have to join them to escape Charles Choi. "Three. Samuel Seo put the contracts in the safe so that we would find them and destroy One MCN. But he is not on our side. He just wanted to get rid of Alexander Hwang and go to a higher rank in Workers, which he has done. He is the President of the new Fourth Affiliate, which may become a problem for us in the future. Four. The Workers is going to recruit me, and I will join."

There was a little more that she could add about their previous collusion and the fact that she was being blackmailed by Workers, and probably a little context about Sinu that would make her new alliance more sinister, but she instead decided to leave it up to interpretation.

"You're going to what??"

"I'm going to join Workers."

"YN... H-how could you?"

She frowned, gathering a response. "The streamers have been taken to the third affiliate. We can take it down from the inside." There was a stir of guilt within her, but she had already resolved to manipulate Daniel for her own goals of escaping Charles Choi. (ch. 66 Expected and Unexpected Endgames) And like she told Samuel, her first goal was Sinu (ch. 67. brat), and that meant obeying Samuel, and by extension, Workers, even if it meant lying to her ally. Because ultimately I just need to find Sinu.

Daniel nodded slowly. "Should I try to join too?"

"Let's sleep on it, and meet after school." She needed to shower really badly.

"YN. Are you busy?" asked Zack at school the next day.

She looked up from her stats assignment. (FUCK stats all my homies hate stats) "Not really." The hypothesis test for Chi-squared could definitely wait.

"I need your help." He eyed her uncertainty. "With Johan."

And just like that her blood ran cold. "...Oh." Both pairs of eyes landed on her left wrist, with his wish bracelet still tied tightly, the dash of the pink ribbon still gleaming among the strands. (ch. 64. Tie the Knot). There had been many times she had thought of cutting it off and stomping on it into the dirt but her hands froze whenever she reached for it.
