Summer peeked her head out of the bathroom as she heard some noises in the room.
"Oh you're home, hi" she smiled.
"Hi, angel. Just getting started or finishing up?"
"Finishing up".
"Okay, I'll get in then we'll eat".
"Sounds good" Summer smiled before continuing her post shower routine. He got in while she was doing her hair, wrapping it up in some heatless curls for the next day. Nothing too extraordinary since she would have to do it this weekend.
"How was your day, beautiful?" Connor asked.
"It was okay, worked and got lunch with Avery. What about yours?"
"Busy".
"I'm sorry, I know you've been cramming all week before everyone comes out. Your family still get here tomorrow?"
"Yes ma'am, tomorrow morning. They'll settle in and we'll grab dinner with your parents when they get in tomorrow evening".
"Sounds like a plan. Josh and Eleanor still coming?"
"Day after tomorrow".
"And how's it been for him back at work?" She asked as she finished up then sat on the sink, facing the shower. Why not help herself to a show.
"Uh, slow, but he's there. He goes straight to the surgical floor, and does anything else from the nurses stations, Eleanor says he hasn't been back to his floor yet".
"I can't blame him. Did he decide to use the hospital therapist?"
"Yea, they're making him as protocol. He's not exactly hiding his trauma" Connor said and Summer couldn't help but sympathize. Even after all this time, he was still learning to cope.
Connor got out and wrapped his towel around his waist.
"I will go make plates" Summer smiled as he stood between her legs and kissed her.
"Okay, I'll be out in a minute".
They sat down with the plates of food, Summer had cooked when she got home from work.
"Hey so I figure your parents will stay here and mine will stay in a hotel, where's Taylor gonna stay?"
"At the same hotel as Josh and El. If you prefer your parents stay here, I'll get my parents a room there too".
"No, it's okay, baby. I also had some thoughts about the house hunting" she said. They'd been looking over the weekends, but haven't found a place they loved.
"Hit me".
"Let's write a list. I don't think we've ever really discussed what we're looking for in a house".
"Fair point. A list it is".
"Perfect" Summer got up to grab a notepad from Connor's desk "okay, what style?"
"Um, modern. I like a clean look".
"Okay, figured" she smiled as she wrote it down.
"How many rooms?" Connor asked.
"Well our room. And if we ever plan to have both of our families there then a good amount of guest rooms".
"Uh huh. And if we plan to make this our home, we should factor in kids, no?"
"Kids, like immediately?"
"Um, I never said immediately but sooner than later. Definitely soon enough to think about them having rooms. Unless you're not on board".
