*It's been a few days since the last chapter. Things were going back to normal. Naruto would spend his day being the most adorable thing on Konoha in Anko's eyes, and Anko would return to her normal routine in the torture department. Or at least that's what she would like. Unfortunately for her, she worked with fellow shinobi. Sure, they were all reserved shinobi like herself. But they were still shinobi. They could still read people as easily as breathing. So everybody could tell that Anko was going through something since she was acting a lot more reserved than she usually does.*

With anko

*We see Anko currently in her office. She was writing up the report of her latest prisoner and the information he gave away, anko would later have to go see if the information she got lined up with the stats and statistics of the information konoha had and see the probability to see if the information is real or if the woman just told anko what she wanted to know to make the torture stop so she told her a lie. As she was in the middle of writing, that's when the door opened. Anko frowned deeper as she knew who it was, but she elected to ignore him and continue to work. Ibiki, for his part, wasn't gonna let Anko get away with that, so he coughed loudly to get her attention.*

Ibiki: Anko.

Anko: I'm fine.

*Anko said firmly, as she continued to write away, she didn't want to talk about what was going on with her, she just wanted to do her work and then pick up Naruto, so they could spend the rest of the day together. Seeing as Naruto was the thing that made Anko feel better. Yes, she freely admits that she shouldn't be using Naruto as a crutch to her happiness, but it's so hard when most of her happiness does come from Naruto. Ibiki crossed his arms as he scowled at the woman. He wasn't taking that bullshit of an answer.*

Ibiki: bullshit you are.

Anko: My work isn't being affected, so this isn't your problem.

* Anko said firmly, as she was becoming angry at Ibiki. Since it shouldn't matter that Anko wasn't back to 100%, she can still do her work, she can still do her duties on the job and in life. Yes, seeing those people affected Anko more than she originally thought, but she was fine. She was going to be ok if people just gave her the room to breathe. Ibiki rolled his eyes since Anko and he had long since crossed the line of boss/employee, given that her son considered him his uncle, and Ibiki saw Naruto as his little nephew.*

Ibiki: Then it's a good thing that I'm also your friend and a previous Anbu teammate so fuck you. You're hearing me

Anko: Look. I'm fine. Yes, I've been feeling like shit since I came back. But it's fine, I'm fine. Hell, I'm better than fine

* Anko said in frustration as she put the pen down and took a few calming breaths before looking up at her current boss and previous anbu partner. She can appreciate that he was concerned for her, really she can. But she didn't need people to be worried about her over a subject that's over and done with. She saw those shinobi, and now they're gone. She had a horrific nightmare, and now it was done. Now, Anko was just recovering the best way she knew how, by moving forward and putting those events behind her. Ibiki raised an eyebrow unconvinced by what Anko just said.*
