Author note 1: I was in the middle of my world history class, which I still say is bullshit, I'm here for a culinary diploma, why do I need to know about history? Anyways. I was fake listening when I thought "there's only 1 chapter left man." So, i decided fuck it. Might as well end this
*It's been some time since we last saw the children of Konoha. That is the last chapter. We see them all just hanging out in the backyard of the Mitarashi household. We see in that backyard, the honorary Mitarashi Gaara Mitarashi of the sand, the only Kurama that mattered in this book, that being Yakumo Kurama the princess of the Kurama clan, the next heir of the Uchiha clan, Sasuke Uchiha, the heiress of the Hyuga clan, and the next snake mistress of Konoha, Hinata Hyuga, and of course the next reincarnation of the monkey king Sunwukon, Naruto Mitarashi all hanging out. Gaara looked around to the group of people that he could confidently call friends and rivals, before he spoke, breaking the comfortable silence of the group, after spending the better part of an hour just playing.*
Gaara: Do you guys think we'll always be together like this?
Hinata: I sure hope so.
*Hinata said softly, as the next snake mistress looked upon her monkey king, dangling on a branch in a tree, upside-down, using his legs to keep him from falling. Even when they're supposed to be relaxing, her monkey king couldn't sit still and had to be doing something, which would get him closer to the concept of freedom. Feeling the air touching his face, was something for Naruto right now. Sasuke for his part, looked up from his book and looked at Gaara confused, wondering where that comment came from, and what was going through the mind of his friend/rival for Naruto's attention, to come up with that thought.*
Sasuke: Huh? Where did that come from?
Gaara: Uh, well, you know. Just thinking out loud.
*Gaara said with a shrug, thinking of his fate, this was everything he ever wanted, to have a family, to have friends, to have just freedom away from the mark of being a weapon. He has that. And that would be going away the moment he went back to Suna. This move wasn't permanent, eventually, he would return to the homeland whose only good memory was when Naruto was there. Speaking of the person who saved Gaara in exchange for friendship looked at Gaara and jumped from the branch, his Bo staff hitting the ground and he then slid down it and sat down in front of Gaara with that same smile that never changed even for a moment.*
Naruto: Well, I doubt we could be together forever. Isn't that what growing up is all about? What's important isn't how often we see each other. But how often do we think about each other? Right?
Gaara: Hm. I'm... I'm gonna think of all of you a lot.
*Gaara admitted sadly, with a sigh, as he looked around the backyard. So many memories happened here, so many years he spent here, with people who never treated him as a monster but as family. And all of that was coming to an end. Since tomorrow his siblings would come and take him back to Suna to be a shinobi of the sand. Yes dear readers, we finally reached the timeskip. All of them were 13 and about to take the exam to become shinobi. Naruto looking at the person he could call a brother, smiled at him with a teasing grin.*
Naruto: Who are you gonna think of more? You're girlfriend or me?
Gaara: I'm not having this conversation again.
*Gaara said without a moment of hesitation, as he felt his girlfriend wrap her arms around Gaara's arm tighter, that girl being of course, Yakumo Kurama. Both children who were treated as weapons, as monsters to their people, are now in a relationship, and with their humanity back, all thanks to Naruto wanting to be their friend. Naruto gave a fake offended look, since wow did Gaara come up with that response rather quickly. What happened to the boy who would let only Naruto cling to him like that, now Gaara lets others like Yakumo cling making Naruto feel less special.*
