Author note: Finished another semester in university, with 2 A grades and 1 D, probably going to have to retake that class next semester but hey, to celebrate the A grade all my stories are getting an extra chapter this week

Weeks later at the capital

*It's been a couple of weeks since the explosive revelations of Naruto's real family being the Mitarashi family. In that time in Konoha, things had returned to everyday domestic bliss for the characters involved. Therapy was going good for the boys, Gaara was assimilating well to Konoha, since nobody knew who he truly was, for the simple fact that nobody in Konoha cared about the news of Suna. Unrealistic since Gaara is a high-priority target? Without looking it up what's going on in Spain right now? Exactly. So while nothing all that interesting was happening in Konoha, we see events happening in the fire capital.*

Kushina: Mommy's back..!

Mito: Mommy!

*Kushina heard the voice of her most loving child Mito Uzumaki as she opened the door. Instantly Mito put her book down and ran to her mother hugging her leg tightly. Kushina smiled softly as she kneeled and hugged her daughter back. This is what she needed, after the absolute failure of what happened in Konoha, to have her daughter hug her and look at her with these big innocent eyes, it made the medicine go down a whole lot easier. With a tired tone, Kushina spoke again.*

Kushina: There's by beautiful girl. Where are your sister and cousin?

Mito: Karin is off reading again, she said she got a new friend who talks about books with her, but it's weird.

*Mito said with a small frown, since that friend was the same friend that Karin met in Konoha but Mito could never meet him, whenever she was with Karin. And his name is so weird, since what kind of name is "pen pal" that is such a weird name. Kushina gave a soft smile at one of the 3 reasons why she's not in a pit of depression that she wouldn't be able to climb out of and she hugged her in a certain way so that she could lift her on her arms as they walked further inside the home.*

Kushina: weird?

Mito: Yeah, her friend's name is Pen-Pal that's a weird name.

*Mito said with a pout of her little lips that made Kushina coo at how adorable her baby was. It really did a lot to help squash down the negative feelings she's been feeling since she left Konoha. Mito always had a way to just bring joy into her heart, and that's exactly what she needed right now more than anything. With a small giggle, Kushina spoke again explaining things while in the background the servants took Kushina's backpack of clothes and started running to run her a bath.*

Kushina: Oh, no. No. Darling, a pen-pal just means that their friends through the mail.

Mito: ooooh! Well anyway, Narumi is in the backyard with Uncle Jiraiya!

*Mito said with a happy smile, as they walked into the huge mansion, they walked past the private library that Kushina had built for Karin. How big was the library? Well, remember the library from Disney's Beauty and the Beast? That's big. No price is too great for her girls. Karin heard the words of her aunt and hid the letter her friend Naruto had written for her, under a book and read another one while Kushina and Mito walked past them. Kushina nods her head at her precious little miracle as they make their way to the backyard of the estate.*

Kushina: Well, let's go see them. Mommy needs to talk to Uncle Jiraiya anyways.

Mito: ok! They were playing with that strange wooden Kunai that Jiraiya always brings around.

*Mito said with a happy smile, just glad that her mom was back. Spending time with Uncle Jiraiya was fine, but he wasn't her mommy. Mito feels a lot safer in the arms of Kushina than in the arms of Jiriaya, Tsunade, or anybody else. It was Mito's safe space. Kushina made it outside to the backyard after walking for a few minutes and one of the maids opened the door for her and bowed as Kushina walked by her. There she saw Jiaiya and Narumi play-fighting. Narumi was so concentrated on finally showing Uncle Jiraiya that she was worthy that she missed the fact that they weren't alone anymore. Kushina got closer to the two and spoke in a loving tone.*
