The concept peaked my interest so I decided to take the concept of Robert and Janelle having dating before the game, only I took it so much farther.

Story summary: "Maria de los mares" what is that name to Robert Robertson the third? that's the name of the woman he allowed himself to love, the woman he spend 5 years making a life together, the woman who carried his daughter Nicolette. Maria was the woman that almost managed to make Robert retire the suit. until one day she just vanished. Robert looked for her, for years he looked for her, but never found her, until Nicolette turned 5. So imagine his shock, betrayal, and anger, when she finds Maria again, only her name was never Maria, her name actually being Janelle.

Author note: Canon divergent story, my take on the plot of the game. Also all the characters are aged up from being in their late 20s to their early 30s

Prologue part 1:

We see Robert climbing out of the mecha man suit as he rubbed the back of his neck and then twisted it until he heard the air bubble pop. What a day it has been. 3 bank arrests, 5 drug busts, 2 superpowered villains who thought they were powerful enough to take over the world, and Robert was just ready to take a long bath and then watch some WW2 documentaries in his underwear. He walked to the door and placed his key on the keyhole, a small jolt of his instincts already telling him something was wrong, since the door wasn't locked. He opened the door and walked inside.

Robert: I'm home. Maria? Did you forget to lock the door?

Robert asked, but he didn't get a response; he walked further inside. His working theory was that the woman still had pregnancy fog, so he walked to where Maria should be. He opened the door and saw his baby girl on her bed, sleeping peacefully, which did help calm him down. He walked to his baby girl, who's only a few months old, and smiled seeing her look so peaceful. But while his baby was here, his girlfriend?

Robert: Hey, my little lily pad. Where is your mother?

5 years later

Robert opened his eyes, groaning, hearing the alarm clock waking him up. Robert, who had his face under the pillow, moved his hand lazily to the source of the sound. He turned it off and then took a deep breath. He could stay like this. He could spend the entire day under the sheets and pillow and just waste the day by doing nothing except sleep. But he knew that he couldn't do that; harming his body from lack of food was one thing, but he would never do that to his daughter.

Robert: "Live another day. For her, Robert. Live another day."

Robert thought to himself, and then nothing. He didn't move. Not until 15 minutes later when the second alarm hit, and Robert groaned, hating his past self. The idea of just ignoring the alarm and sleeping through it was tempting, but he got up and sat on the bed, rubbing his eyes, as the ringing continued to annoy him. He stood up, stumbling a little, from his brain still not being fully awake, and grabbed the second phone at the desk on the other side of his room, grabbing the damn phone and turning the phone off. Robert walked out of his room and walked slowly from the second story to the first, going to the kitchen and opening the cabinet, frowning a little over what he saw, or more to the point, what he didn't see.

Robert: Oh, right, Nicolette ate all the honey nut.

Robert muttered to himself as he gave a low groan, his idea of just having cereal for breakfast long gone, so he moved his hand to the box that was inside of it, a box of pancake mix. He placed the box on the counter and slowly made his way to collect the things he'll need to make pancakes. Robert was about to open the box when he heard the door being knocked.
