In the fire capital.

*As previously stated, the fire capital was where only the richest people lived, so while tensions were growing between Konoha and Kumo for their attempted kidnapping of the Hyuga heirs, in the fire capital? We've got Jiraiya who somehow his spy network didn't warn him of this attack. We see the man moping at the kitchen table, being all depressed that his precious Tsunade is gone on a "personal mission" and she didn't even say goodbye. She writes it all down on a note. A note! Didn't even give him the dignity of a goodbye.*

Jiraiya: This is hell....

Kushina: She'll only be gone for a few months

*Kushina said with a sigh, seeing the uncle of her children look at the note that Tsunade left for them, and then sniffed it, which Kushina found so weird. Jiraiya didn't care, it still smelled of her perfume of Shumukh by The Spirit of Dubai. It smelled heavenly, and he wanted to save it in his memory until the scent left the letter. Jiraiya couldn't understand it. Why leave? They have the best medical facilities in the capital, they could've had the operation here. Things were not adding up.*

Jiraiya: But why did she have to leave?!

Kushina: She's the greatest medical shinobi in all the elemental nations, which means that the very wealthy will always be after her to heal them. Calm down.

*Kushina said with a shrug, being logical about all of this. Everybody knew of Tsuande's medical skills. Kushina doesn't care what that Kagura girl had to say, Tsunade was a once-in-a-generation talent for healing. So that meant that those with the money to pay for her services, would come and ask for her, to heal them in the luxury of their own homes. If there's one thing she knows about tsuande is that she won't say no to money, so that she can gamble some more. Jiraiya gave another deep sigh as he took another whiff of the aroma.*

Jiraiya: sigh. Life's so unfair.

Kushina: Hm. So. Are you gonna tell me what you've been researching for the last couple of weeks?

*Kushina said with a raised eyebrow, ever since they've come back from Konoha, Jiraiya has been busy in his little room in the house researching something, but he wasn't telling her what. She saw how Jiraiya suddenly sobered up and put the card away. Silly Jiraiya was gone, now it was left to the Jiraiya that only his enemies get to meet. Jiraiya looked around, to make sure the girls weren't around, especially Karin. That girl can be so quiet that many times she jumps scares Jiraiya since she would suddenly pop up out of nowhere with a book in hand.*

Jiraiya:.... where are the girls?

Kushina: The girls? They're with their private tutor. Why?

*Kushina asked confused as to why Jiraiya wanted to know. The girls were with their individual private tutors, since Mito wanted dance lessons, Narumi wanted guitar lessons, Karin wanted gardening lessons, and Kushina without a moment of hesitation or a look at her checkbook, paid for it all and Jiraiya should know this. Jiraiya nodded, just making sure that they didn't get to leave early or something, since this wasn't a conversation that the girls should be around for. With a deep breath, he continued.*

Jiraiya: Just needed to be sure after I tell you about this.

Kushina: Tell me about what?

*Kushina said as she stopped what she was doing and sat down. Jiriaya, kept quiet with his lips slightly pursed as he waved his hand and made the servants leave. This was a conversation that could only be had with the two of them. No other ears should hear about this information. The room started to get tense since Jiraiya was quiet, so Kushina spoke again, trying to make him open up, about what's been going on, what he has been guarding so heavily for all these weeks.*
