Konoha
*The days went on in Konoha, and Naruto was acting more and more like his old self every day. It was to the point that Anko was confident that soon Naruto would be given a clean bill of health and wouldn't need to go to therapy anymore. There's still the issue of the ADHD and the Autism, but that's a problem for another chapter, since Anko isn't ready to face that just yet. We see Anko in the early morning. It was a lovely Saturday morning. Anko opened the door to the room of her boys and she saw them sleeping like they always do, with Naruto hugging Gaara and with Gaara having a see-through bubble of sand around the bed, protecting the two of them.*
Anko: "Maybe it's not Gaara who's doing that, maybe it's Karura's spirit."
*Anko thought as she watched the two children sleep, looking almost like siblings. Anko could almost feel as if Karura was next to her, also looking at their boys with smiles on their faces. *
Inside Naruto's dream
Naruto: Whoa, you're a big guy, are you the alpha of the Foxes? Oh. Wait. Alpha isn't a real thing for canines, those words belong to hens like chickens
*Naruto said talking to himself, as he unintentionally threw shade at the people who called themselves alpha wolves. Something really stupid in Naruto's opinion, since the man who came up with that theory has said repeatedly that he was wrong, and has tried to make people see the truth of his mistake. The term alpha really came from the pecking order of chickens, so whenever Naruto saw somebody calling themselves an alpha, in Naruto's mind their calling themselves chickens. While Naruto was stuck in his unmedicated ADHD head even in his dream, the giant that Naruto was yelling at heard him. The giant in question turned around and looked at Naruto. It was a fox. A giant orange fox. The fox got closer to Naruto and sniffed, jumping from one side to another in a playful act. Naruto giggled and he copied his actions.*
Naruto: Yeah! Let's wrestle!!
*Naruto said as he suddenly became a fox himself since it was a dream it didn't have to make sense, and played with the giant fox in his dream. And no, that's not Kurama, Naruto is just dreaming of the Foxes he saw at the zoo last week. Not every fox that appears in Naruto has to be linked to Kurama.*
Gaara's dream
Naruto: Oh Gaara, of course it's you. You are my best friend. You are the one I love the most
*Dream Naruto said as he hugged Gaara. Gaara hugged back and smiled smugly looking down at his defeated opponents. It was a long and fought battle, but Gaara was able to defeat the harlot of the Hyuga, and the hoodlum of the Uchiha who both made the mistake of thinking they could hold a larger spot in Naruto's heart than himself. He was the Victor, he was the number 2, Naruto loved him more and he just won a war to prove it. Thousands died for this prize, but it was well worth the price.*
Gaara: Kneel you peasants. He loves me more than all of you...
Real world.
*It was quite the scene, Gaara was holding Naruto tightly while Naruto was mumbling soft yip sounds like a fox and rubbing his head on Gaara's chest. Whatever they were dreaming of, made an absolutely adorable picture. But as cute as it was to see them sleeping so peacefully, it was time to wake up. So Anko's hands went inside the bubble and gently shook both of her boys awake.*
Anko: Kids, it's time to wake up.
Naruto: Mh... morning Momma, morning Gaara, how did you sleep?
*Naruto asked with a big cat-like yawn as he rubbed his face on his pillow. Only, his pillow felt weird, it was warm, and it was beating. Gaara woke up and slowly sat up straight, feeling a nice warm feeling on his stomach from Naruto rubbing his head on Gaara's chest, while the eyes of Naruto were still closed. Gaara gave a small yawn before responding, to his extroverted friend who must have the spirit of a dog inside his soul. Or a fox. Foxes can be very affectionate, at least the ones in the zoo that Aunty Anko took were very playful.*
