Author note: merry christmas as a present you all get an extra chapter this week

In Konoha

*It was another wonderful day in Konoha. Hiruzen managed to pass another bill with a slim majority in the council, the Haruno family lost their election, and are no longer a political family, thanks to some underhanded tactics by Hiruzen, so now the new member of the civilian council is more agreeable to his changes for Konoha. It was such a wonderful day, that even Danzo himself was having some tea by himself in his backyard enjoying the peaceful day. Yup. Everybody was having a wonderful day. Everybody but Anko Mitarashi, who was in the office of Naruto's therapist Mr. Kuruo, we set this story off in the tail end of the argument.*

Anko: No.

Mr. Kuruo: And why not?

*Mr. Kuruo asked without much emotion in his tone. He was a professional, he had seen a million people like Anko, those who think that there's nothing wrong with their child, since nothing could ever be wrong with their child, and that Mr. Kuruo was just a shell of the drug industry, trying to make his patient just be another sheep for the industry. Anko was scowling deeply, since this whole conversation was a waste of time. Mr. Kuruo asked her for this meeting, to recommend that Naruto be medicated for his ADHD problems. Safe to say that Anko did not take it well.*

Anko: Oh I don't know. Maybe because I don't want my son to be filled with drugs just to make the life of a teacher easier.

Mr. Kuruo: not just the teacher but Naruto as well.

*Mr. Kuruo said with a shrug, as he didn't tiptoe through the landmine that was telling a mother that their precious little angel was not like the rest and that they needed to be treated differently for that child to live their best possible life. He didn't tiptoe, no. He stomped every step that he took with full confidence that he knew he was right. Anko glared at the medical professional, since he pressed the Naruto button. He shouldn't have done that.*

Anko: Except for the fact that my boy is fine. He has no problems too big. So he can't sit still for too long unless distracted by a task he likes. So what?

Mr. Kuruo: How about the fact that he wants to be a shinobi? How do you think that's gonna go for him?

*Mr. Kuruo said, as he drop-kicked the landmine this time, he opened the biggest issue that Anko needed to confront. Naruto was a liability. Especially out in the field if his tendencies aren't treated with the seriousness they deserve. Mr. Kuruo could see it now, Naruto was off on a dangerous rank A mission, he was supposed to remain hidden, and boom. A distraction comes and he can't help but get distracted, since his attention span wasn't treated because Anko at the other side of this desk, didn't want to admit that Naruto wasn't neurotypical. Anko wasn't even the slightest bit convinced.*

Anko: Just fine. More than fine in fact. Since being a shinobi is his dream, it is his interest, so his quirks will be a benefit to him in the field.

Mr. Kuruo: Or he could make a mistake more easily and die, or get one of his teammates killed. How would you feel if that happened because you are so stupid that you don't want to medicate Naruto because "it's not natural"

*Mr. Kuruo asked in a dry tone, showing one of the reasons Anko even had this conversation. Mr. Kuruo tells it like it is, and doesn't hold back punches. Naruto needed to be medicated, especially if he wanted to become a shinobi, that's not a profession that allows the luxury of being distracted. Anko pursed her lips as her scowl became worse since she couldn't deny that Mr. Kuruo had a point and she knew it. So she did what anybody does when their on the losing end of an argument. They changed the topic.*

Anko: Oh forgive me for not wanting my son to be filled with dangerous chemicals

Mr. Kuruo: Do you even know how the medication affects his brain? Please. I'll even do you one better. If you can tell me exactly how ADHD medication works, I'll never bring this up again and I'll give Naruto a clean bill of health.
