— Damn… what the hell is she thinking? Everything was going well in my life and now everything is going downhill, I'm going to have to leave Dogday with Kickin… — Catnap said in his car, heading back to his house.
— Can't you see that this is perfect? Her attitude... is so good — Ten Zero Six appeared in the passenger seat, he looked out the vehicle window with an excited look.
— Good? Where!? If she speeds everything up I could go to jail because the entire government will come down on us, and of course, on me? Where could that be good? — said the purple cat in an irritated manner.
— Look, with her going to jail and you too, things will get better, you are just a few bank robbers, what sucks is that you are a criminal faction that steals cars, gasoline, minerals and of course... banks, the sentence can be huge but it reduces for good behavior...
— Haa… you idiot… stealing all this could get me five to twenty-five years in prison, but because I'm part of a faction, I could get a hundred years or more!
— And? You don't know? Life expectancy here on Ancestra is two hundred years! What's a hundred years in jail? Good behavior would reduce that by a third. And that's when I say it again: train the boy! Train Dogday to be strong and help when it's time to fight her, especially with Nathan training Hoppy!
— I already said no… don't bring my son into this mess! — he replied harshly.
Back home he arrived and the puppy welcomed him with hugs and jumps. Dogday was more affectionate and knew that from next year onwards… this affection would be reduced. It would be better to enjoy it while there was still time.
By the time he arrived it was already early evening, Dogday had already taken a shower and was only wearing underwear... a little strange since it's not like him. Catnap took a shower too, got ready and I asked his son to get ready too, they were going to Incript to test something interesting, this brought a sparkle to the puppy's eyes.
Leaving with the Viper, with the tracks a little busy, they arrive at Incript and there were some cars that accelerated and made other noises, since they were testing and checking some things in the vehicles.
The cat parked in one of the grassy areas around the large building, opened the door and got out, his son did the same. Catnap leaned against the vehicle and pulled out his cell phone, he seemed to be waiting for something.
— Hmm… tell me, what are we going to do? — asked the little dog, all excited, his wagging tail didn’t lie.
— Well boy, say goodbye to this little car here, yes, the Viper, I made an exchange and I'm going to get a new car — replied the cat with a brief smile.
The boy grunted a little and looked a little sad;
— But… what car did you trade it for? — he seemed to be happy again.
— A Lamborghini, a Murcielago, you don't know it but you'll like it. Do you remember when we went to a dealership? The same one where you got into that BMW? So, I was buying that car.
— Oh! Cool! Speaking of him, the BMW… let's just say I liked it, when I grow up can I have one? — the wagging tail and the innocent face made Dogday give him diabetes with cuteness.
Catnap says yes and pats his son on the head. The cat feels a brief change, since the beginning of the day he called Dogday "son" on many occasions, since he was adopted, Catnap only called him by his name.
It wasn't long before a car approached, it wasn't the Murciélago, but Kickin's car. The two girls jumped out of the car and ran to hug Dogday, well... only Hoppy, Crafty did it after her sister and still did it with great shame — she was hugging Hoppy afterwards.
Dogday had expected this, but somehow, even though it was predictable, he turned all red and unresponsive after this bunny hug. Their conversation was simple; “how was your day” and such. But the kids were impressed by Dogday’s new phone — it was a Xiaomi 14 Ultra.
The two were debating about cameras and such, Hoppy had an iPhone but never used the camera for anything, while Crafty didn't have a cell phone, she liked taking photos, but the cameras on today's smartphones don't please her in a good way; she uses a small camera that takes photos in a "vintage" theme.
The group tested the unicorn's camera and tried to transfer the image to a cell phone. Luckily, Kickin had a charger cable in his car. They grabbed it and transferred the images from that little thing to Hoppy's cell phone — the cable was only good for an iPhone — and the quality was clearly a bit bad... but the ambiance seemed to convey a feeling.
— I like this… I don’t know, it makes me feel like this is what I live… it’s not what I look at, but what I feel — Crafty said in a low tone.
The three of them were sitting on the curb of the place;
— Wow, girl… I don’t know what to say, do you by any chance feel good seeing images like that? — Hoppy asked, a little unsure of what to say.
— Let's just say... she's one of those young people who often say that they were “born in the wrong era” — Dogday said, taking Crafty's camera and immediately taking a picture of the two of them, from the front — but unlike those who only say that in songs... — he passed the image to Hoppy's cell phone — you feel it with your eyes, not with your ears...
He showed the photo and the two girls were a little distracted in it, but the mood that the photo gave, brought a good smile to Crafty, Hoppy thought the photo was cute, and didn't even notice that her cell phone was in her hand, and that her “sister” was hugging Dogday.
The puppy was a little paralyzed because he couldn't process this quickly, Crafty seemed to hug tightly and even cried, it was quiet but Dogday smiled and returned the hug with almost the same intensity.
And the two stayed there, hugging each other for a while.
