The Emperor's Wrath: The Plan Man 💚🧡🍑

—Flashback—

Wukong sat at the center of the meadow, the night sky ever so bright. Looking at the horizon of Camel Ridge, Wukong sighed and hugged his knees to his chest.

"Thought I would find you here, my king," A voice startled him from his train of thoughts. He turned around to see Azure Lion standing there with a drink or two in his paws. Wukong smiled as the Lion demon sat down next to him.

"Refreshment?" He offered the copper monkey a drink. Wukong thanked him and takes the cup from him.

"Is something troubling you, Wukong?" Azure asked.

"I dunno, just thinking of the future I guess." Wukong shrugged, leaning back gulping down the drink. "Just think, We're all gonna be so many times immortal soon," He rubbed the back of his head awkwardly, a light hue of pink spread across his cheeks. "Ha! I'm kinda losing track of how many times I'm immortal."

Azure chuckled at the monkey's rambling, "Worry not brother! When we triumph with this rebellion, the people will no longer live in fear. We're about to change everything, and it's all because of you."

Azure takes the sage's little paws into his big ones, staring into each other's eyes. "I admire you Wukong, very much so. And I would gladly stand by your side for eternity if I had to."

Wukong's golden eyes sparkled, getting embarrassed by his praising as he brushed it off, "Oh Azure you big sweetie! If I'm being honest. I couldn't have done all this without you big guy."

Azure smiled warmly at the demon monkey, his heart practically racing and light blush appearing on his face. He stands up straight, composing himself. "Wukong, there's something I've always wanted to tell you..."

"Oh, what is it?" He asked, his golden orbs staring at fuchsia ones.

"Will you, Will you be my m-"

Azure started to cough, his vision started to get hazy and blurry, his fuchsia eyes going bright blue with no pupils. "W-Wukong?" He tried to call out for Wukong's name again, before he roared in pain.

The blue furred lion snapped out of his fantasy, Azure was still trying to control the power of the Jade Emperor, but of course, he was losing sanity by trying to even keep the universe in check. Luckily Yellowtusk made a seal with the three magical items to contain him in a controlled state.

"Perhaps our mission to the Jade Emperor's throne was...premature. We miscalculated." Yellowtusk stated, bringing the weapons back to him.

"No...This wasn't quite what we expected," Azure protested, still certain he can control the power. "But I will master this power, I will use it to create a new world order. If the Jade Emperor could contain this power, so can I."

"But Azure, the damage to the realm-"

"It is worth the price..." Azure sat back on the throne, his eyes glowing bright blue with no pupils. "Nothing comes without sacrifice. Nothing."
