Summary:
Seeing the pressure getting to Mk, Sandy insists on a one-on-one training session.
During the middle of the journey, the group had discovered a fork in the road, Literally. MK looked in both directions, trying to decide which way to go. The group stood behind her in attempting to cheer her on.
"She's going to do it."
"Cmon kid, lead us to the next stone!"
Mei looked excited for what was about to happen, so were the others as they continued cheering her on. MK pointed to the left, then to the right, right and then left again, she continued to move her finger between the two said paths before finally concluding.
"I...I DON'T KNOW!"
Everyone fell to the ground comically, MK turned to face the group upset. "I mean, seriously we got lucky with the first stone. We wanted a map or a-or a magic compass or something! Normally, we get a preguffin...BUT WE SKIPPED TO THE FULL GUFFIN!"
Pigsy snorted, crossing his arms. "Kid takes one how-to-write seminar and now won't shut it with McGuffins."
Mei, sensing her best friend's distraught and goes and place a hand on her shoulder. "It's okay, MK. We're figuring it out as we go. Together!" She gave her a side hug.
"But we can't keep doing that!" She argued, walking forward away from her best friend. "We don't know where the other four stones are or what to do with them if we ever find them," she pulled out the red stone from her pocket, staring at the reflection of herself. "We're just walking right into chaos..."
The group started to speak at the same time while the world around them started to break apart.
"ENOUGH!!!"
Everyone stared in shock at the water demon's loud shout. Sandy suggests that in order to find the rest of the stones everyone should split up and cover more ground and then regroup. "What are you going to show me?" MK asked excitedly. "Heightened my sense of smell so I can sniff out the stones? Secret upper body growth techniques? Oh! How to craft a first aid kit using nothing but jungle debris and my own wits?!"
"No, no," Sandy shakes his head, dismissing the ideas. "The skill you need to learn, is..." he pauses for dramatic effect.
"...Meditation!"
The young adult's expression fell, and falls over comically again. "WHAT?!" She exclaimed. "Nooo! I already know about meditation. Clear my mind, calm my thoughts, you know all that jazz."
"Perhaps, but you are in need of some serious therapy kid." Sandy said.
"But we don't have time for that!" She argued, "We need to find the stones and save the world before it ends!" MK gestured towards the sky but it didn't crack on cue. She scoffed. "Oh! So now it decides not to crack," MK huffed, crossing her arms.
Soon enough, more and more cracks appeared on the sky. "See what I mean!? I have to stop this—" She was about to summon her cloud but Sandy held her back.
"That's the thing. It's too much for these little breadstick shoulders." Sandy stated. "I see you, everything you've been through," he looks up at the cracked sky with a saddened expression. "you can't keep hiding from it." MK looked away, knowing that deep down he was right, as such as she wishes too; she can't.
MK sighed in defeat. "Ah. Fine. Let's do this." She did just that, closing her eyes, taking in a deep breath before slowly exhaling.
Breathe...Breathe...Breathe...
