The next day of school was almost the same as the first. Paula sat by me and continued telling me abut the school. She told me about the people I should avoid including Melissa, Lindsey and Nicole. Well, they didn't seem like a bad trio to me. As I sat on one of the benches. Melissa, Lindsey and Nicole walked up to me.

"Sorry for what happened yesterday. I was just stressed out. That was not a good way to welcome you to Eastfield High", Melissa said.

I didn't say anything but just nodded. I was dumbfounded. By her demeanour, I could tell she was popular. If my presumption was correct why was she talking to me? I was a new girl. What did she want from me?

"Are you waiting for the bus?' Melissa asked me.

I nodded. Suddenly, I couldn't find my voice.

"You could join us in the car", Melissa suggested. I nodded again and we entered Melissa's red Toyota Rav 4.

Paula watched Melissa, Lindsey, Nicole and Karen as they entered Melissa's car. She was amazed. She hoped that Karen was not in any serious trouble. She knew how dangerous Melissa and her friends were. Just looking at Karen reminded her of Esther. It would not take a rocket scientist to figure out that Karen looked just like Esther. The only difference was that Esther's red hair was straight while Karen's red hair was very curly.  Then again Esther had always wanted to curl her hair. This didn't make any sense. Esther was no more so how could there be a human being standing right in front of her that looked just like Esther? the only explanation she thought of was reincarnation. No. She didn't believe in reincarnation. She was a Christian. Well it was said that everyone has a twin somewhere in the word. Maybe this was Esther's "twin". That was the only logical explanation Paula could think of.

We soon arrived at home. I got out of the car and waved goodbye to Melissa, Lindsey and Nicole. I didn't understand why they took such an interest in me but this is a good thing, isn't it? This would be a good opportunity to make friends with them.

Melissa watched Karen enter the house with an evil smirk on her face. From the day she saw Karen, she had already started thinking of the fun she would have with her. She would get this done with the help of her friends.
