minho was standing next to a bench next to a park.
a bench that he and junho always met by when it came to their dates.
sighing, he looked at his watch.
junho was late, by ten minutes.
just when he was about to text him, and ask if everything was okay, he saw junho slowly making his way to him.
minho waved at him, and he returned the wave.
"hi."
minho said when jisung reached him.
"hi."
jisung gave him a small smile.
"so, got any plans?"
"no, not really. I didn't really count with the fact that we would be going on a date in the first place."
minho said.
"tell me about it, it was out of nowhere."
jisung agreed.
"but...do you mind it?"
"what? no, of course not."
minho immediately shook his head.
"do you?"
"not in the slightest."
jisung offered him a smile.
"so how about we just walked around for a bit, and then maybe we would get some ice cream. I would pay, since you paid the last time."
"yeah, I like that."
minho smiled.
"great."
jisung nodded, and the two of them started slowly making their way away from the bench.
"so, how things are going? school and...your friends?"
minho asked.
"I'm just somehow swimming trough it. I'm getting C's and D's, but I'm not failing."
jisung shrugged.
"but what friends are you talking about? I have like...only one friend, and I'm not exactly besties with him either."
"really?"
minho furrowed his eyebrows.
"but I saw you at a skate park like...one, two weeks ago?"
"at a skate park?"
jisung was confused.
"yeah, you were there with two guys. one of them was really tall black haired guy and he was riding a skateboard, the second one was a redhead, and he was just sitting there next to you."
minho said.
redhead and tall black haired guy?
shit.
was he talking about...soobin and yeonjun?
did he see junho?
"ahhh."
jisung nodded, acting like he finally understood.
"soobin and yeonjun. yeah, we're...familiar, we're not exactly friends. I did hang out with them at the skate park, because going alone felt weird, and they go there often, so they suggested I go with them."
"ahh, makes sense."
minho said, as he opened the door of the ice cream shop, letting jisung go in first.
"thank you."
jisung smiled at him, before going inside, stepping behind two girls that were currently getting their ice cream.
"so, what flavor are you feeling today?"
minho asked.
"hmm, strawberry? or pistachios? but cookies and cream sounds so good too."
jisung thought out loud.
"I can't pick."
"well what are you craving the most?"
minho asked.
"hmm...I get strawberry all the time, so a little change shouldn't be bad."
jisung said.
"I'll probably get pistachios."
"I'm feeling strawberry today."
minho said.
"hello, what can I get you today?"
the worker asked with a cheerful tone.
"one pistachios and one strawberry please."
minho said.
"amazing choice."
the worker said, reaching for two cones.
soon enough, the couple exited the shop, holding ice cream in their hands.
"I don't know, but I feel like whenever we come here, the ice cream gets better and better."
minho said, as he licked the side of it.
"mhm."
jisung just nodded, looking at the ground.
"hey, are you okay?"
minho asked.
"did something happen?"
jisung lifted his head, his eyes meeting with minho's.
"minho I need to tell you something."
minho nodded slowly.
"okay. I'm listening."
jisung opened his mouth to speak, but nothing came out.
"I'm gonna tell minho the truth tomorrow."
"if you do that, you will be bringing both you and me down. if mom and dad find out what we're doing, their only focus will be that you, the lesser twin, agreed to this in the first place."
"I..."
jisung managed to get out.
"they're going to be super mad about the fact that you sabotaged my relationship with minho, and ruined something that could have been beautiful. I won't get off easy as well, they won't trust me with the group, and we can say bye bye to a life full of luxuries. we will probably get disowned, and live on the streets. do you want that?"
"uhm, well..."
jisung looked down, unable to keep the eye contact.
he couldn't see the heartbreak on minho's face when he'll realize what has been happening.
"if you do end up telling minho about all of this, I want you to know that all of the things that will follow will be your fault."
jisung looked up.
"I lied."
he said.
minho furrowed his eyebrows.
"about what exactly?"
"I was craving strawberry, this pistachio isn't as good as I thought it would be."
jisung said, looking at his ice cream.
"but I learned my lesson. I need to stick with what I know."
"oh my god, you scared the shit out of me, you sounded so serious."
minho put his hand on his chest, a chuckle escaping his throat.
"but hey, if you want we can switch."
jisung tilted his head.
"you...don't mind?"
minho shrugged.
"not really. I like pistachios."
he said.
"if you don't mind I already licked it."
"couldn't care less."
jisung said, switching his ice cream with Minho.
"what didn't we share yet?"
"valid."
minho nodded, before tasting the pistachio ice cream.
"what are you onto? this ice cream is amazing!"
"I never said it wasn't."
jisung shrugged, licking his ice cream.
"I just like the strawberry more."
"well we both got what we wanted now."
minho smiled.
"what do you want to do next? wanna just walk around, or do you have something in mind?"
"no, not really."
jisung shook his head.
"do you?"
"I heard about a place where they sell amazing pancakes and desserts. do you want to go there? I have to warn you, it's about twenty minute walk."
minho suggested.
"I like that."
jisung smiled, hiding his thoughts.
god, I'm such a fucking loser.
why wasn't I able to tell him?
