jisung set two cups of jasmine tea on his nightstand right next to his new book, together with a bowl filled with salted cashews, before checking the time.
minho should arrive any minute now.
more then a week passed from minho's confession, and to say that things had changed, was an understatement. after agreeing a while ago not to go on more dates together as junho and minho, their contact died down. no more texting each other about random stuff, about books, or about interesting things happening in their life. but now? both of them were practically glued to their phone, texting each other. talking about the date they agreed to have, about whatever came into their mind. jisung even caught himself sending minho some funny videos that he found.
and for some reason, jisung felt this tangling feeling in his chest that disappeared the day minho walked out of that coffee shop after agreeing to cut their contact down a bit.
minutes seemed to drag and drag on, until, there was finally a knock on a door. jisung tried to act as normally as possible as he opened the door, hiding his excitement.
"hi."
minho smiled.
he was dressed rather casually, comfortably enough for an indoor date, exactly like they agreed on, while holding a rose, which immediately ended up in jisung's hands.
"hi."
jisung smiled back, before stepping aside.
"come on in."
the door closed behind minho, and the two of them made their way towards the bed.
"I like your fit, by the way."
jisung said, smelling the rose.
"those sweatpants look comfy."
"they are. I usually wear them on my dance practices with my friends."
minho said.
"but I gotta say, jisung, you look beautiful."
jisung blinked.
"minho, i am wearing a shirt with ducks on it."
"and that only brings out your beauty more."
minho said too casually, sitting down on the bed.
jisung put the rose down on his table.
"I am going to let the rose dry out so that it will last me longer."
minho smiled.
"it's your rose, do whatever you want with it. but I have to admit, if I ever came back here and saw the dry rose, it would make me really happy."
and then he noticed the snacks on the nightstand, just waiting to be consumed.
"you are prepared, I see."
"I am always prepared."
jisung said proudly, sitting down next to minho.
"I remember you mentioned liking cashews once. you're lucky junho likes them as well, so we always have them in the cabinet."
minho snorted.
and yet, there was a smile on his face.
"cute."
jisung blinked, before covering minho's eyes with his hand.
"what are you doing?"
minho chuckled.
"I blush when I'm nervous. a lot."
jisung said, almost in a whisper.
"it's embarrassing."
"you don't need to feel embarrassed when you're with me, I told you that many times, sung."
minho said gently, before laying his hand on top of jisung's, that was still covering his eyes, and bringing it down on his lap.
jisung's eyes were doe as he looked at minho's face. was he always this handsome?
"now, shall we start reading the book?"
minho said, his voice as sweet as honey.
jisung blinked.
"right, the book. that's why we're here."
"I am here for you, not the book."
minho teased.
"but sure, let's go with that."
