minho drank a huge sip from his water bottle, before he started packing up his things, chan and hyunjin doing the same.

"wanna go grab a beer guys? it's still pretty early, and I'm home alone, I would be bored."
hyunjin said, slipping on his shoes.

"as much as I would want to go drink and forget about everything, I need to go home. we have something at the company tomorrow, and they need my help with something."
minho said.

"damn, you sure know a lot about this thing."
hyunjin let out a chuckle.

minho rolled his eyes, before shaking his head, not impressed.

hyunjin looked at their other friend.
"what about you chan?"

"I'm sorry, but I have some plans. we can grab a beer next time, all three of us."
chan said.

"yeah, I should be free the day of our next session."
minho nodded.

hyunjin breathed out trough his nose.
"fine."

"or you can try calling felix, maybe he will be free."
chan suggested.

"I haven't talked with him in ages, it would be weird to suddenly ask if he wants to go out."
hyunjin said.

"or just forget about it and go home, order some pizza and watch some cool movie, like the sonic for example."
minho shrugged, throwing his bag over his shoulder.

"the sonic? really minho?"
hyunjin raised his eyebrows.

minho put his hands up in defense.
"it's an amazing movie, all three of them!"

"or you can go to the coffee shop and try to meet new people."
chan said with a smile on his face, opening the door for his friends.

"if hyunjin started random small talk with someone, they would not be able to handle his weirdness and he would probably end up at the police station."
minho said, his face dead serious.

"okay, fuck you minho."
hyunjin said, offended.

"I'm just looking out for you, that's all."
minho shrugged, before pulling out his phone from his pocket.
"it was nice today. see you later?"

"see you later alligator~"
hyunjin called out.

"this is exactly what I'm talking about."
minho chuckled, waving at his friends for the last time, before disappearing behind the corner.

today's weather was awesome. it was hot, but not to the point you get sweaty just by walking. he was wearing a simple shirt and sweatpants, and even tho it was already around five, he was comfortable. come to think of it, he still had some time to spear, and he started thinking about a coffee shop, because Chan mentioned it before so graciously. and minho deducted that getting some coffee before the work is an amazing idea.

so instead of walking straight, so he would get to his parents company, he went right, where his favorite coffee shop stood. he has been here too many times, even with jisung, on their dates.

wait, jisung?
what was he doing here?

minho stopped in his tracks when he saw a familiar person standing over the road.

"how big is a chance that I meet him here, at this time, at this place."
he said to himself, kinda amused.

but then, he noticed that jisung wasn't exactly alone. by his side, stood another familiar face. a guy minho, for some reason, wasn't the biggest fan of.

choi soobin.
and of course, he was too close to jisung for minho's liking.

being the rational person minho was, he ignored them and instead continued walking to the coffee shop, his thoughts only filled with his coffee....

well, that was what minho wanted to do.

but then, he saw how soobin plucked out a beautiful flower from the ground, and put it behind jisung's ear with a big smile on his face.
and soobin wasn't alone. jisung's face also carried a very cute smile.

a smile he used to give to minho, all the time.

sighing, minho decided to indeed, ignore them, and go for his coffee. as much as he hated it, he couldn't stop jisung from hanging out with soobin, as much as he wanted to.

so he turned behind the corner, and tried to get this scene out of his head.

"this flower compliments your eyes."
soobin said, just after he put a flower behind jisung's ear.

jisung blinked, before a smile grew on his face.
"you think so?"

"yeah."
soobin returned the smile.
"you look pretty."

jisung let out a small chuckle, looking away.
"okay you flirt, how about you stopped flattering me, and we finally started walking towards the park, how does that sound?"

"as you wish."
soobin said, offering his hand, which jisung accepted without much thought.

they walked in a comfortable silence for a while, before soobin looked at jisung.

"so, I was thinking."
he started.

"oh no, should I be scared?"
jisung chuckled.

"why would you even think you need to be scared?"

"you're my brother's best friend. every single time he says this sentence is a disaster."

soobin laughed.
"that's true."

"so tell me. what is on your mind?"
jisung asked.

soobin took a deep breath to calm himself down, before continuing.
"would you want to...go on a date with me? a real one, not just a hang out."

jisung stopped in his tracks, blinking a couple of things. he was caught off guard.
"you mean...a DATE date."

soobin smiled. jisung was too cute for his own good sometimes.
"yes, a DATE date. you can refuse, we don't have to go on a date if you don't want to."

"I...I think we can go on a date."
jisung said, a small smile on his face.
"and if it doesn't work out, we don't have to speak about it ever again."

soobin couldn't hide his smile.
"okay. that sounds like a plan."

jisung snorted, and the two of them started walking again.
"anything in mind?"

"well, I heard that there are some cool new movies coming out. we can check them out if you want."
soobin said.

"movies huh? I'm always down for movies."
jisung said.
"we can talk about the details later on. just text me so we can set everything up."

"alright."
soobin nodded, his huge smile never wavering.

this was...a success.
